I had Rocco for Freshman English. He is one of my favorite professors on campus because he makes class enjoyable. Do the reading to be prepared for class and proof read your essay and you should be fine. With just a little effort, a good grade can be achieved.

One of the greatest professors I will ever have. Took his class as a first semester freshman and I'm positive that was one of the best courses I am going to take while here at MC. Looked forward to going to class each day, due to his energy and genuine interest in our class, development as writers, and also as people! Much love Dr. Marinaccio!!!

Absolutely loved every second of his class. He was so willing to help with any questions, and genuinely cared. Such a great guy. I will definitely be looking to take any class of his again! Went to MC and loves his students. Very smart man, and funny too.I'm only a freshmen but I already know this will go down as one of my favorite college courses

The only people writing positive reviews are female. Extremely biased against males. Will openly laugh at your opinion then give you no chance in class to back it up. He is wreathed in pretension and snobbishness. Avoid him: especially if you are a male or if you enjoy having your own opinion about things.

He is very fair. Likes class participation. Not too sure if he takes attendance or not. He expects a lot of students and will rip your paper apart. The books are really interesting, unlike a lot of other Roots: Lit classes.

I really liked having Rocco as a teacher. He grades extremely fairly, so do your best on papers. He gives no tests, just the midterm and the final which are okay but long and tiring. And your homework is a lot of reading, but it's worth it for discussion during the next class. He also spoils the ending for stuff you haven't read yet, so keep up!

There are some people in life that you can live with out and this man is one of them. don't take him unless you have to. He makes sly comments about your view on things and then if you try to talk to him outside of class, he has this I DON'T CARE attitude towards what you are saying to him. It makes me not want to participate in class which is rare

Class participation is one of the most important things to Rocco. He is funny and nice, but don't miss too many classes. He grades the papers in his Roots class like the students should be senior English majors. Tests are all essays. Take if you are a mediocre writer, but talk a lot in class. Not fun if you're hungover on a Friday morning.

Dr. Marinaccio is the greatest English Professor at MC. Everday I go willingingly to class and am intrigued the entire time. He has faith in his students and doesn't talk to us like we are dumb. He is brilliant and we read contemporary things that were relative to our lives today. He is tough but if u don't apprechiate him u are lazy.

I will sum this guy up in one statement: i earned A's on all of the papers, B's on the exams, and recieved a C for the course because of poor participation. Dont take him, professors like that are unreasonable.
