He is a very knowledgeable and great teacher. His lecture is very clear, simple and straight to the main points. If you skip the lectures, you probably won't understand the contents. Highly recommend to self-study and redo the exercise in textbook and blackboard.

Rod was using an overhead display instead of the computer display offered in the classrooms, so his classes feel more oldschool. That would be ok, if only his handwriting wasnt so hard to read. Hes an older gentleman and has experience in the accounting field so he is very knowledgeable.

Rod is a good teacher. His notes are clear and straight forward. Don't hesitate to ask him questions, he'll try to help you understand the content. Find a friend who can help you copy their notes for you whenever you miss class. Its quite easy to self study and catch up to the lessons. He doesn't check attendance at all, just show up on tests

He is one of the most teacher I have ever had! He's funny, enthusiasm, caring and his lecture so interesting! The course is not too easy but he makes it more clear for us to study. Rod also gives some tips to memorise knowledge. If we study and read his review, grade A is possible. In addition, he has many cute ties :D Best professor ever !!!

straight forward! tests and exams are all based on class materials. the textbook is only needed for some in class practices, you can just either make a friend and share with them or borrow it from the library just for the 2 hour. overall, it was good. practice makes perfect.

Utilizes notes and in-class exercises to teach. The textbook is definitely essential. Will make sure you understand the lesson (whether you like it or not). His ties are awesome. Tests are fair, so pay attention and do some extra practice questions. Great teacher to take coming out of high school.

Rod is a really good accounting teacher. His lectures are very clear and he's a genuinely a nice guy. He takes his tests extremely seriously though so you better not try to cheat! He marks very casually and always tries to give you at least half marks for things.

This instructor is awesome. He is super clear on all information, so willing to help. He will explain something you don't understand 5 different ways if you need it. His notes are awesome, helps plenty if you do pre-reading before each class. His tests are harder, but if you have conceptual knowledge of the material he will give you all marks hecan

He explains the material very well but is a hard marker. If you need help he is always available in his office and gives you the answer to your question For an assignment he will not directly give you the answer but give you a hint. If you have no other option, do take him at least once to experience him.

Very nice guy, can be confusing sometimes for someone doesn't have accounting background. However, his notes are very helpful. If you did all the exercises he asked you to do, you can pretty much pass the course.

he is the best and my favorite. He's super crystal and has the best notes. No need the book or self study. pay attention in his lecture and notes, you'll be good on exams. Some may complain he's too picky, but remember, this is accounting and any mistakes is about money. The more strict, the better you've learn. Take him, you will not regret.

I love Rod! Because of him, I decide to study accounting hard. I have no idea how long it takes him to grade every assignment, but he is really helpful, very patient with all your questions. Before our class, he has another one, but he never shows he is tired, very kind guy. Like his ties as well!

As long as you don't get behind and follow the text books step by step it's easy to get a good mark. Class average was always around 70-75% so I don't know what everyones complaining about. Finished the class with an A- which I was very happy about. Rod is an amazing prof, one of my favorites so far at Douglas!

I don't understand all of the bad reviews... I loved Rod. He tought everything crystal clear and had the best notes ever! All the tests were very fair and I'd say the class ave was VERY high for an Acct course. Very helpful during office hours. Looked forward to going to class everyday because I knew I wouldn't be wasting my time! AWESOME TEACHER

Terrible at teaching acct 1222 he marks the same way as he does for acct 1110 which doesnt work for a computer class. he tells you stuff he should have taught before the test after and doesnt adjust his marks even though everyone in the class got it wrong cuz it wasnt something the textbook taught, however he is great at teaching acct 1110.
