Comment:

Loved taking BIBL211 with Ashlock. He makes the OT interesting and doesn't assume everyone went to Sunday school and already knows the material. The study guides are long but the quizzes and test are straight from them. I genuinely always looked forward to his class and never found myself bored. Don't be on your phone too much, he doesn't like it.

Dr. Ashlock is my absolute favorite bible professor. He loves what he teaches about and makes it easy to understand. Lectures were very interesting. He cares about each and every student and wants you to have fun. There is a book you have to read and write weekly papers on a chapter but they are easy grades. If you can, ALWAYS choose Ashlock.

Dr. Ashlock is a really cool guy and really enjoys what he talks about. He is the department chair, so expect to get a good attitude and good knowledge. Go to the pre-test review sessions, because they will help you fill out the review. Reviews are almost carbon copies of the tests! Quizzes aren't hard, but the reading is very necessary.

I had Ashlock my first semester and he turned out to be one of my favorite professors. He moves at a fast pace and it's almost hard to keep up with him, but before the test he almost always had a study session for anyone who wanted to come which really helped. I would definitely recommend him.

He's such a nice teacher and isn't hard to listen to at all. His only grades however, are the tests and his tests are hard. When he asks the class if they want hand outs or power points, say handouts or else your class won't get a study guide and that made it difficult for our class to study for the test.

Had him for honors OT. He's a very funny guy and a great teacher - he's really good at relating ancient ideas and cultures to our modern-day minds. The class isn't too difficult if you put the work into it, but the course material is definitely challenging. Highly recommended.

i had him for message of the OT, and he was awsome. He made OT storiesinto todays times. Made things easier to understand. I highly recomend him to everyone. (and I guess since everyone does.. take him!) If you have room for it (i know i dont) go ahead and take Hebrew with him. He loves the class, andencourages others to take it as well.

Incredible knowledge of the Bible, very thought provoking and friendly. Knows and remembers everyone, very approachable. He is a professor with which one could become friends. If you have a chance to take his class, don't pass it up.
