He's smart and to the point, doesn't waste any time. If you get done early you leave early. He's also the funniest professor I've had. His grading is fair and pretty lenient. If you're having trouble understanding the material it may be hard to understand but you can always find him in his office. He's willing to help if you're willing to work.

Dr. Freed is a funny guy. He does take attendance, so you do have to show up, but if you miss, you can easily make it up. The power points are on Canvas, and the test material comes straight off of that. He gives you super realistic expectations for the tests. He will start getting angry if you don't come to class ever, though.

Mr. Freed is an amazing professor. He is very understanding and easy to get along with. There are only two major tests and a few online quizzes. Most of the class revolves around projects regarding radio and television, but they aren't too difficult. I would recommend this class to anyone, regardless of his/her major.

Reminds me of Sheldon from the big bang theory. Really smart about his stuff. Even though radio is dying, but at least he has hope. I didn't learn anything besides how to cram. He won't help you. He's got a smart mouth. Take notes. Study. Don't try to be his friend just go to class.

Very easy going teacher- makes the class interesting. Explains everything ahead of time as far as projects are concerned. If you know someone in the class, you might want to share a book- we hardly used them, but they are needed.

He is a great teacher! If you just come to class and do your work, you will do fine! He does not like slackers at all! He is always open to ideas and does not like extra credit. Just do not get on his bad side.. He is a great teacher, take him if you have a chance, even for a fun elective.

Freed is a great professor, so long as you're not a slacker. Show up for class, pay attention, study for the midterms, make an effort on your projects, and you'll do fine, no matter what the class. Simple as that. I thought he was hilarious, so I always enjoy his classes. He's very laid back... definitely not one of those classes you'll dread!

I love Freed! I have had him 2 semesters and I think he is great! You have to know how to take him and you can't slack off. If you don't go to class and put effort into your projects you won't do good. But if you try and have good attendance you will do good!

I have had Freed for Comm 250, 341, and 360. You just gotta know how to take him. He DOES NOT like slackers. Gotta do your work!!! If you are a Comm major you will have to have him. Quizzes and Tests are hard. He knows his stuff though. Listen to him and study!! I enjoy him overall though!!!

Freed is likely the most unfriendly professor on this campus. He definately has his favorites as well and I simply was not one of them. The class will probably be very fun and easy for you if you are one of his favorites however. Just make a good first impression because he will judge you from that. He also has the driest sense of humor.

Had Freed for Intro to Broadcasting. The class sucked, especially if you are a comm major. All of the technology he discussed was usually 30 years old! He only mentioned the industry standard as an afterthought. The equipment is old too, one of the lights in the tv studio caught on fire while we were doing our tv projects.Easy A wont learn anything
