Love Roger! He is a fantastic teacher! He was very helpful and understanding. His comments on papers were helpful in developing a better paper the next time around. He enjoyed talking with the class and we could approach him on a personal level.

He is the worst prof i have ever had!!!,he is not only super monotone and boring, but extremely arrogant and snobby towards his students. On his feedback on papers he tends to write rude and demeaning comments, he also keeps grudges so if he for some odd reason doesn't like you, it will defiantly have an affect on the mark he gives you, Drop Him!!!

Worst professor I ever had in my first year. The first paper I wrote in that class was given the lowest grade based on a few spelling errors and words he thought were used in the wrong context. Try to get into classes with Paul Lumsden!

Dr. Davis is an expert in his field and unfortunately this leads him to have extremely high expectations of his students. He expected far too much of a first year class and it often felt as though we were being talked down to. I did learn a lot, but at the expense of my GPA. I unfortunately would not recommend this professor.

If you have "Dr." Davis as your proff... Drop class immediatley. Davis marks essays insanely hard, and expects you to write at a 3rd year level. He carries himself as if he were royalty because of his PHD. I respect him for this, but he acts like hes gods gift to literature. This guy is a "clown" drop the class save your GPA.

RUN! He seems like a nice guy, but marks essays harder than anyone I've ever seen. Has a bias against anyone not going for an arts degree. Will attack you personally through essay comments. Superhuman expectations. He told us that he considers a C+ in his course to be good! Run before this guy ruins your GPA.

Impossible teacher. He is a very smart man but holds a very firm opinion. If you do not rewrite exactly what he says in your essay, you will fail. Im not even sure if that will help you. Out of a class of 25, there was only 11 by the end of the year. Switch before you end up having to repeat a whole year of english

It has been 4 years since I took Roger's class and can say in full confidence that it was worth the sweat. This is a uni course with uni expectations- live up to them. You'll learn to write a proper essay based on your supported opinion and this will be useful in all other courses. If you are struggling don't whine just go talk to him.

Very nice looking person at first. Very unapproachable, condescending, and its his way or the highway. People just coming out of high school beware, the essays are extremely advanced. You will have to work HARD to achieve whatever grade you finish with, as he expects a lot. Enjoys a good conversation with the class, but does seem to want to play devils advocate. Abhors flippant comments so think VERY carefully before you speak. If you seem like you actually take his comments/critiques into consideration, he will reward you. Ok.
