Doc G is the man. His lectures are great and he is really smart. Exams are all extended response and fill in blank which is tough but it is do-able. Three exams and four quizzes throughout semester, the quizzes add up to equal one exam so they are worthwhile to study for. Go to every class if you take it with him though.

He's a great lecturer, one of the best I've ever had. He makes difficult concepts very easy to understand, I wish he taught all my classes! As nearly everyone has already said, he gives super tough tests, with very specific grading. This was a VERY time consuming class. But he is awesome and easy on the eyes :)

Gilders is a great professor. Very helpful outside of class & holds your interest during lectures. His exams are extremely tough, and he is very picky with his grading. But if you attend class regularly & put in the effort to study, it is manageable.

Dr. Gilders is a good instructor. Attendance isn't mandatory but his lectures are interesting and always has time for questions. Posts study guides at the beginning. Exams are really difficult: fill in the blank, short answer, essay format. It takes a lot of studying to do well in the class. But physiology is hard.

One of my favorite professors. Even though classes aren't mandatory it is so interesting to go and just listen to what he says. It makes so much sense when he talks. If you pay attention take good notes and study youll be fine its very easy. only thing against him was that he is so picky grading.

Great professor. The course is very challenging and demanding, but he does his best to make lecture interesting. The exams are extremely difficult, especially the essay portion. If you take good notes and stay on top of the material you will be alright.

Gilders is a nice teacher and available if you have questions; however, this class is very difficult. There's a lot of material and the essay portions of his test are subjective, you must hit the exact points that he wanted you to make. Class isnt mandatory, but if you skip you'll miss a lot of information. He had an optional review day once a week

Gilders is definitely a nice teacher. Very approachable and always willing to help. HOWEVER his class is VERY challenging. Exams are 75% essay and 25% fill in the blank. Requires at least 2 hours of studying a night. Keep up with your work and do NOT take weekly quizzes for granted!

Dr. Gilders is one of the best professors I have had in college. This course is very challenging & covers a ton of material for a 10 week course, but he presents it in a way that is organized and less difficult to understand. He also is a genuinely nice guy & is encouraging when you talk to him or ask questions. Study often, exams = fill-in & essay

The most perfect lecturer you'd even seen. He was like a news anchor. Unbelievable. I'm in love with him. It is not very often that a man old enough to be my father makes me want to leave my boyfriend.

The information expected to be learned is overwhelming but helpful in other classes. Although I do not feel as if he teaches; I believe you teach yourself a lot in this course. Maybe its just me, but the instructor's job is to teach and thats not the main priority in this course.

in general, a good prof...without his lecture outlines, the course would be difficult to follow, as he tends to go crazy with his chalkboard drawings...an EXTREMELY difficult grader; still trying to figure out where some of my point deductions came from!!

Moves pretty fast and is a really tough grader, but the information he expects you to know will help you in future classes and make them easier, however this one is pretty difficult.
