Comment:

Took Dr. McCoach for Pre-Calculus in the Fall of 2018. He was an AMAZING professor. Very well organized and is available outside of class should you have any questions. Be prepaid to come to class and LEARN! He goes above and beyond for his students. I would DEFINITELY take him again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to others.

Comment:

Having him for Calc II paid off when I transferred to Rutgers. I was one of the few people who survived Calc III there, largely due to his Calc II class. Drops lots of hints as to what will be on exams and sometimes gives 6-8 problems ahead of time and one of them will show on test. Attendance does not count.

Great MAT 110 hybrid course. Course moves real fast. 3 tests and a final. Gives partial credit on the computer exams and there is a curve at the end. Very fair. Knocked off 3 credits in 8 weeks.

Online class over Winterim. The course moves at bullet speed. Very well organized. You know exactly what is coming and what is expected. Gives lots of email reminders. Fair grading.

Difficult material. You will work on exams. His grading of tests is fair though, and there is a curve at the end. Would recommend to all, but especially if you are a STEM major.

Lectures are very clear if you are willing to expand your mind a little bit. This professor is mostly professional, funny, genuine and has a good methodology of teaching, warning you when you may want to turn the light bulb on or try something different. Tests are hard but with hard work, you can succeed. Would definitely take this professor again

Comment:

Easy if you just do the work in both class & at home. A bit rough around the edges but just wants you to get the course done in a timely manner. Not all that helpful with actual course work but will give you reminders of what needs to be completed. Class is completed at your own pace; when you're done with the work, you're done with the class.

Pretty good online class. 4 tests and a final exam. Go to the optional final exam review at the end of the semester. Gives partial credit on questions that the computer marks wrong and throws a bit of a curve on at the end.

Challenging but fair course. Do the work otherwise you will pay. He is very upfront about everything - grading, when the tests will be and so on. Would take again.

Calc II is an inherently difficult course but the professor does his best to assist. The grade is based off of four exams and the final with the final counting as two grades. The homework is optional but heavily encouraged. The course was also curved at the beginning so the students would know what grades are necessary (50 to pass, 65 for a C).

After reading these reviews I was terrified to take his class. The material is hard no matter who you take it with. I did the problems MANY times to learn the material, worked very hard and got an A. It's the same department final regardless of the teacher, and his class prepared us well. He's a nice guy once his personality comes out. DO THE WORK!

Challenging prof but fair. Calc II is a lot different from Calc I. Very different type topics. Don't get behind, do the homework, and you should be ok. Gives a curve at the very end.

Yikes. Took his class online and still regretting my decision. Tests are way harder than the homework. No study guides, doesn't really tell you what specific sections to focus on. Took online stats at the same time and got an A in that class, so I don't think its me. Maybe he's different in a classroom setting, but I'm not looking to find out.
