Roger Riley has been one of the most invested professors/advisor I have had in the RTTR program at Winona State. If you never participate in class and he doesn't know your name that is probably a bad thing. Get to know him and he will be your best resource when it comes to finding jobs/internships.

Roger is a great professor and makes class fun and engaging but he is a tough grader for group projects and papers. His tests are typically hard and are essay questions. You only can miss two days in a semester otherwise he won't write you a letter of recommendation.

Rog's Foundations of Rec and Leisure course was a really fun class. He is a little forgetful at times and his tests are fairly difficult. However, his lectures are very precise and note taking is easy. He also has a way of keeping the class engaged.

My absolute favorite professor. So funny and really cares about what he's teaching and his students. Gives lots of time to do the reading, but will expect participation in class discussions. Saves As for those who really 'bust it' but is very helpful.

One of the best professors I've ever had. I have had him for 2 courses and he is very knowledgable, willing to help, and clear. He does give homework and projects but they're actually fun projects and one's that will benefit you in the long run.

Rog is the best professor I have had at Winona State. He genuinely cares about his students and looks out for each of their futures. He is devoted to teaching and learning new things. He is engaging and makes lectures interesting and puts things in a way that makes you want to learn and think more.

Dr. Riley is the best professor I have had a WSU so far! He is genuine and it is very obvious he cares about his students' futures. You must attend class because attendance is taken. He always gives good examples of concepts that you learn in the class, which makes it easier to learn and retain information. He is also a fair grader!

Hands down one of the greatest professors you will ever have. My favorite part about him is that he has an example for literally everything which makes learning and studying way easier. If possible get him for your advisor too, he is very helpful and gives you a 4 year plan. He is the best thing at WSU

Riley is awesome! by far the best teacher i've had at WSU! He made this class very interesting and fun! If you study the material you should do good on tests, half is short answer and multiple choice and the other half is essay, nothing too hard tho!

Roger is very passionate about what he teaches. He grades fairly. He gives out two big papers and all of his tests are short answer and essay style. His class isn't the easiest, but as long as you understand the curriculum you'll do good. He's always willing to help and wants you to do good.

Good guy and professor. I have only had him for travel study in Costa Rica, so I am unaware of his in-class practices. However, during the travel study I had no problems. I recommend checking out the two week travel study to Costa Rica. Great experience!

Riley is the reason students come to college. The mas has so much passion for teaching. He would do anything to help a student understand class material. Going to his class every day is always entertaining and if you skip a class for any reason you have truly missed out. I will miss him as a professor, he truly is a great!

he is my favorite professor so far. he influenced a change of majors for both me and a friend now. this class is interesting and not hard if you show up to class. he is a wonderful teacher and i plan to take every class i can with him in the future. the best part is he is always willing to help, even if it's not for his class. you'll love him
