I took this class the first time it was offered. Amazing. Lectures were from intricate drawings. He was enthused and it was infectious. Back then, class was mostly Med Tech students. 39 years after I graduated, I went back for a Cert. in Molecular Diagnostics and saw him again. He was easily my favorite professor from my undergrad time at UD.

Professor Wagner is probably my favorite professor so far. He is a really nice person, and is extremely helpful if you ask him for help. He is willing stay long after class and lab if you need any help.Plus he also tries to get to know his students. Overall an amazing professor. The class is difficult in terms of the pace and materials covered.

Comment:

Overall, Wagner is a good guy, and he'll be happy to help you if you ask esp. if you're a girl. The class is hard, but if you're taking BISC442 you're a bio major, or prepharm and you expect that. Do well on the practical exams, because they're relatively easy, and the lecture exams are very hard.You will sink a lot of time into studying for both.

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. I love histology, however, he made the class 110x harder than it should be. He was also moody and tended to tell/get angry with students. I worked hard, read the book, went to every class, asked questions and still didn't get an A- no one did. Impossible class. Terrible teacher. Avoid him at all costs.

Probably the hardest class I have taken at UD, but the one I learned the most from. Must be very organized and conscientious about your work. With a lot of time and effort, I did well. Wagner is the best bio prof I've had.

this class does not need to be as hard as he makes it. i would have actually learned more if i wasn't so worried about my grade. the class was very interesting, but his lectures weren't too clear. the tests were nothing like what was presented in lecture and he wasn't helpful in letting us know what to focus on for the book material either.

Excellent class, excellent prof. You will learn so much, but will have to work for it. Spend lots of time in lab and study his drawings. If you can do well in this class you will be way ahead of the game in medical school.
