It almost felt like a grandpa (in a good way) was teaching the class. He could, however, have explained things better/clearer. He does throw in some bits of dry humor once and awhile, and that makes his classes a bit more likable/enjoyable.

So boring! Wrote too small and his jokes were so lame. Needs to try and keep people awake. When asked for help basically told how to do it the same way because Finite is supposed to be easy. Needs to do math rather than write out 2 questions that take 45 minutes each to solve.

Oh Beattie. Ya know you don't know what you got til it's gone?? I did not appreciate Beattie's ability to teach calculus until I had Irwin instead. I miss him... He was funny in a non-funny way and covered all the material fairly well. But calc is hard if you don't like math. no matter what.

For those people who could stay awake through his 8:30, he made quite a few jokes. He gives quite a bit of notes in class, and you pretty much have to have a general idea about how to do Calculus. Take Pre-Cal first if you are lost in Cal or Beattie'll just make it worse. Plus, he's good to look at.
