My favorite! I never took a class with someone as passionate about what he teaches. His lectures are fun and easy to understand. Hes also a very understanding person as well and will work with you if you missed an assignment. Take his class and you wont be disappointed.

Pros: Best & most caring professor I have ever had. Easy & fun. Though the course title says "GEOG" it's really a class on natural disasters. We watch 2 documentaries per class (typically 2014-present PBS) w/ a 10 min break in between. Allows food & fully admits the only reason he assigns a textbook is b/c the uni made him Cons: Class is 2.5 hrs

Ron is a really great guy. As someone who doesn't care much about Geography, the class itself wasn't that interesting to me. But he's energetic and really passionate about what he teaches. Every class is just movies which can be good or bad depending on what you like in a class. Homework is simple weekly assignments.

Professor Crawford is the kindest professor I'll probably ever meet. Just the kindest, bubbly, humorous, and happiest person. Makes you work for your grade but light homework. He is awesome! I'm planning on taking his geography class next semester. Definitely recommend him if you're taking his film history classes--you won't regret it!

He's funny and entertaining yet plays too many movies that make for a long night. Incredibly easy work and no way you can't pass. He's very sweet and wants you to learn. Clearly shows passion and love for teaching.

Mr. Crawford is by far one of the best teachers that I have had while attending UAA. I have asked for extra credit from most of my teachers and a lot of the time they say no and your grade is what you get. I was 2pts from getting an A and asked for extra credit and he said since I was so close he'd just round it up. Highly recommend.

Loved this class! Prof Crawford is so awesome, very lenient, our online tests were open book and not timed, allowed multiple attempts, not to mention the history 244 Hollywood studios class was SO interesting. Highly recommend to ANYONE! Easy A and an awesome course!! Can't say enough great things about this professor. You won't regret this class!

I took two film classes from Mr. Crawford; Disney & Science Fiction. His excitement for his class is nice to see among professors who usually lack interest in their teachings. He is a wonderful person to learn from and watch films with, very easygoing. I would definately recommend him if you want to take an easy stressless class!

Took class online. Was easy. Just do discussion board and pick one "online quiz" (pop quiz) for each chapter. u can take it multiple times to get better scores before sending it in to him. Then he has 3 main big test on there but that one you could take it one time only, and have 3 hrs to get it done. All multiple choice. Easy A

Took 10 week Summer course. Three tests (multiple choice, open book, online), some discussion boards and mini quizzes. Easiest class I've taken so far, and I actually learned a lot. We even got to go on a cruise! He is quick at responding and very helpful. Highly recommend.
