Comment:

Professor Hamel was my favorite professor at Southern Connecticut State University. I enjoyed his class eventhough it was an early morning class. His class aren't difficult as long as you're doing your work and studying for his tests. In fact his tests are pretty easy.

Comment:

I enjoyed PSY 215 with Professor Hamel. However, this class is not an easy A. You must actively participate in classroom discussion, do the discussion boards and really understand the material in the textbook & powerpoints as he does not go in depth. & Tests are pretty tricky since there's always 4-5 questions that have multiple answers.

He is really funny and you'll enjoy being in his class. He's really passionate and has a lot of experience in what he teaches. There are 4 exams and weekly homework assignments that will boost your grade. Would definitely take his class again

Professor Hamel has a great sense of humor and is very passionate about psychology. However, his classes can be somewhat boring because all he does is lecture off of his PowerPoints that he posts online. The book is not necessary, but he does take attendance every class.

I love his class. I had him at 8:10am and I still looked forward to his class. Hes a great teacher and hes really funny. You can tell he loves what he does which made class more enjoyable!

Lectures are filled with good information, he repeats important things that will be on the test. I do suggest getting the book and skimming through the chapters, he does pull some exam questions form the book that he doesn't talk about. Easy going. A few homework assignments that are really open and he gives fantastic feedback!!

For this class, there are online discussions, 4 exams and 2 projects. The subject matter is somewhat interesting and Prof Hamel makes it fun. He is sarcastic and jokes around a lot. He knows a lot about psych and does a good job of explaining it to us.

Dr. Hammel is amazing! Absolutely hilarious and is so passionate about subject. Just make sure you participate in class (which is super easy to do), and do the blog posts (at LEAST 300 words with 2 sources from book!). He's awesome and I really encourage anyone interested in the subject to take it with him.

Amazing teacher. But he is all lecture, no slide show. Thus hard to take notes, so notes are all based off he lectures, which are all discussion based with your class. Loved his lectures though. If you want to pass do all the homework due every sunday night, and read the book (long chapters) but otherwise I enjoyed the class, and he is really cool

He's a cool guy his stories and jokes makes the class better. You do have to pay attention in his class because he doesn't put up any notes, which made note taking a bit hard for me. Do the homework and study and you will pass. You don't need the textbook but its honestly the only reason i passed the text so i would buy it.

Teacher that is passionate about the subject and people in general. He loves what he teaches and actively tries to engage the class. For Tests: Make sure your you read the book as well as the notes. Tests are multiple choice but harder than you'd think. Other than that, glad I took his class and learned a good amount.

He is a really cool guy and I enjoyed his class. Great class discussions, funny stories. You do need to do the homework and study for tests - if I studied more my grade would have been much better. Attendance is mandatory. I def. recommend taking him! Only saturday class I enjoyed.

Prof Hamel is a true professional, he really knows how to connect with the students and make his subject come alive. I have taken two classes with him back-to-back and I found myself looking forward to classes every week. His class discussions are great and his lectures are always interesting and relevant. You learn with realizing it. RECOMMENDED!

He's a great teacher. he makes class interesting and he is extremely helpful. I had this class on Saturday mornings and I loved it. I highly recommend this class.
