Likes to deduct points. He said he wasn't going to judge us if we were "shy" or on our personalities in general..said we were who we were. Only later he deducted points because someone said illinoise and pronounced the "s". Talks too much about guitars, parties, a lot of stuff he's done in his youth;which I'm doubting some. He's inappropriate.

Mace is an awesome professor! he is a great guy and has his own way of teaching. you learn more life lessons talking to him than you learn about speech, but thats fine with me. I would recommend him to anyone. The class is actually fun/interesting and humerous. i think the university is ridiculous for letting him go. he relates to the students.

Has a 'sybil' personality. Doesn't stick to his outline of the final exam. Said it would be the midterm and chapt. 9 and 10, but put stuff from entire book on it, after not even using the book the semester. Talks too much about drinking, guitar playing and how bad the uiversity is for letting him go. He is not professional at all, or reliable.

This is the most worthless class you'll ever take. Especially w. Ron, he randomly takes off points, b.c he doesn't like to give out 100's. Easy tho, but how pointless it is made me mad. I don't think eh should be qualified to teach at a university. Which is prob why they didn't renew his contract.

At the beginning of the semester, he does some 6 slide powerpoints and class only lasts about 15 minutes. Always lets out early, and sometimes cancels. Very lenient when it comes to speeches and very funny. I love his class. Never been to class when he hasn't let us out under 15 minutes early

Ron is an awesome guy! This class isn't hard, but who really cares? It's speech. The people who should care that this class isn't that challenging is the Communication Majors. So unless you are one, take Ron. You won't regret it....

Ron is a great guy, anyone with half a brain can understand that his stories are used to exemplify the real life uses and purposes of speech; this professor does not have his head in the textbooks wazoo, he teaches from real life experiences. Also, Ron is very helpful with class work, if you get anything less than a B, it is undoubtedly YOUR fault.

Very easy class. Mid term is take home test, final is the same test just words mixed around and worth 100 instead of 50. He is a great speech professor, he understand that people have a fear of public speaking. Anyone who doens't take him is an idiot. Plain and simple.

Um, whoever complains about his stories needs to get a grip. I find that his stories make the class much more interesting and humorous, adding life to the class. My question is, why would you only want your instructor to teach right out of the textbook? That's so boring! Mace is great: he makes the class more fun & he cares about his students.
