Ron is a great professor! Honestly, he knows what he is talking about, and his experiences that he shares are extremely relevant and make learning about this subject more fun and interesting. I've seen many people complain, but he is CRYSTAL-CLEAR about the expectations in the class, due dates, and everything. Read the syllabus and you'll be fine.

He isn't that great of a teacher. First of all, he doesn't take time to help students, at least not me. I was there everyday and did everything he wanted and he still found ways to mark me down. When I asked why he wouldn't answer, just blow it off. His tests weren't hard but the projects suck cause he doesn't follow his own rubric. Don't take it

favorite professor in department. VERY smart, understanding and funny. made research interesting and i learned a lot. its nice to have a teacher make sure students understand. most test questions are from the chapters, he outlines them well in class. show up and do the work, you'll be fine.

he is my favorite professor in the CEDP department. had him for research methods and lab. wants you to ask questions if you don't get it. has good humor, understands students and is very approachable. i learned a ton, read from book, go to class and take notes, do all assignments b/c they add up. totally worth your money and time.

Great lectures, uses a lot of humor, excellend knowledge of subject matter. Would definetly reccomend Dr. Martella. Tests are difficult, but READ! A lot of test questions come from the text and not necessarily from the lecture.
