Best prof at Grossmont. Just come to class and take notes, and (with studying) you will easily pass his 3 tests. Even if you don't like the subject, you should take this class because of how great of a prof he is. After taking this class, I changed my major to philosophy.

This man is excellent at lecturing and if you are interested in the subject you will not have a problem. Don't even waste time with the book, take notes during his lectures and come to class and you will do fine. Four short papers, three tests, and 10 points for attendance is what his grading scale is set off of.

Would be better class if discussion took place as opposed to lecture format only, but he only has 2 1/2 hours a week to cover a lot of material. Do yourself a favor and make friends in class to discuss and study with.

Don't miss class. Attendance =3-4% Papers =7% so that around 10-11% and can make a letter grade....don't miss them!!! Plus class is fun w/fascinating facts/stories/references Study metaphysics, epistemology, & religion. Prof. doesn't infuse his opinoins/has no alternative agenda. Broad view of 3 important branches of philosophy= GREAT intro class.

Prof. Mules is definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. His lectures were intelligent, interesting, and easy to grasp. There were 3 chapter tests and two participation assignments. He provides review sheets for the tests, but it's necessary to study to make sure you really understand the theories. Take this class. It's true...he is God.

Ronald Mules is GOD! His lectures are interesting and full of real-world examples (relating Taoism to parking a car). I highly recommend Mules, one of my favorite teachers ever. Only 3 chapter tests, study guides are given and he only tests from the study guide and notes. Studying is necessary, but other than that, a great class!

If you're looking for a teacher that is both interesting and fun, Mules is your man. He carefully describes all of the content, so much so that I never bought the book. Not much homework, though tests can be a bit overwhelming by the large amounts of content. Overall, had I the chance, I would take Ron Mules again.

Professor Mules was an amazing teacher! He only gave three exams which are completely based on his lectures. His lectures are flawless. Even though he assigns reading, his lectures cover absolutely everything you need to know for yourself and for the exams. Show up every day and you'll get a good grade. He has a great personality too.
