I took this class the last 8 weeks. He's a very tough grader. 3 test 33 multiple choice questions last part is an essay. He his very vague about what is going to be on the test. NO STUDY GUIDE. He lets you know that there're questions on test that we didn't cover from the text which means read the chapter. Being on time will work in your favor.

He is such an awesome professor!! Professor Boykin teaches by the book, he's very clear about what will or won't be on the test. Read the textbook and pay attention in class & it will be an easy class for you! :)

Dr. Boykin is phenomenal. He teaches by the book and the class before the exam he basically spoon feeds you what you need to know (topics anyway). 33 test questions and an essay. 3 exams. I had a high B. Pay attention, take notes, show up and read. It's as simple as that.

Just took his summer '12 class and I got an A! Good teacher, approachable and not boring. He tells you what's gonna be on the test. But don't just memorize the definition of terms. You need to know the concepts and examples as well. His exams are not hard if you study. Take his class, you will learn a lot! ;)

This guy is so foolish. He looks dumb, has a huge mustache and this big southern drawl. He is so strict. He gets furious if somebody is late to class, or goes to the bathroom and comes back late. He takes them out into the hallway and lectures them...he has an inferiority complex. He is also a religious troll.

He is a very fair professor. He is also very nice. He lets you know exactly what he expects from you. The exams are multiple choice and short essay. The class before the exam he will go over all the material to be covered, almost telling you the individual questions. He reviews the essay questions thoroughly. I would recommend him.

I think most of the vilifying remarks here are undue. He was engaging, fair, and very clear about his expectations. As long as you study a little before the tests (in addition to his in-class review) and aren't excessively absent, there is no reason why you can't succeed in his class. I also found him to be polite and respectful; not unpleasant.

Dr. Boykin is a wonderful teacher. He uses class experiments and discussion to keep students interested. He is very clear on which material you will be tested on. I took both psy 201 and 202 and would recommend him to anybody. Fun class.

I took the summer class with him. He is organized, competent, and even funny sometimes. Test aren't hard but there is an essay question with every test...wouldn't say it was difficult if you spent at least 30 mins studying

I've never taken a class where the expectations and policies are so fair. It is a challenging class, but he's a good teacher, lets you know what will be on the exam, and has the most crystal clear instructions for you to follow. He made what I found to be such an incredibly boring topic interesting.
