Should have retired years ago. Belittles students, is never wrong, and, in general, is not a nice person. A waste of my tuition. Maybe he could teach back in the 70s or 80s, but now he's deadwood. PSC will improve when he retires, even if they don't hire somebody else. Can be mean, tries to confuse, can't teach. Why is he still here?

Not a good professor, as a department chair he should be interested in teaching and not simply trying to poorly word the exam questions to confuse you. I have made A's in all of my college Eng. courses but didn't make an A on any of the one page papers required for this class (all grammatical and citation errors he said). Take at your own risk!!!!!

I absolutly hated him..... dont let people say that some hate him cause we are lazy or bad students. I passed this class but got a C pulled down my GPA and worked my ass off. He makes you feel stupid when you want clarification, he does accept doctor notes, and is not easy to work with!!

So Dr. Claunch doesn't give extra credit to you babies for just showing up to class. He is a great professor who, believe it or not at SFA, actually expects you to learn something. He doesn't give away grades like most professors. He is an honorable man who doesn't lie (regardless of what the lazy "students" below say). He's a great teacher.

Dr. Claunch is an absolutely outstanding professor. He goes over material thoroughly and makes sure that everyone understands it as long as they take an interest in learning. If not, they are on their own as they should be. He is available outside of class. I totally recommend him! Great advisor

I think Claunch is a good guy. if you dont understand something, all you need to do is ask and he seems great to talk to. his tests are sort of hard but you have to read and write opinion essays which have to be written in mla format, if you take his class seriously, it should be a piece of cake
