Comment:
If you do a decent job, put effort in, and at least try to get better throughout the semester this class will seem easy. And trust me, if you can sit there and listen to Graeff for 15 weeks without getting help then there's something fundamentally wrong with you. Plus he makes it very clear about what you have to do to get better. No book needed.

I heard mixed reviews and after taking his class I am very disappointed! He did not provide feedback other than telling you his way of doing things, which in broadcasting is not set in stone. Rather than point out positive qualities he points the negative performance in his critiques. His methods are outdated from his experience in the 70's & 80's

He's abrasive but helpful. By not sweet-talking his students he gets results. There's a lot of days when you'll be in front of a camera or talking into a microphone, so attendance is essentially mandatory. He's a practical professor, who believes in hands-on results and not essays or written tests. There are a few tests, but they dont' matter.

Horrible. Maybe it's the fact that I'm not a broadcasting major, but this guy was utterly worthless as a professor. I guess he's popular amongst BRC people, but if you're taking this class simply to satisfy your core curriculum, don't expect much of anything from this guy.

Ron is an excellent teacher- I don't know how anyone could say they got nothing from his class. His knowledge and experience make him a great teacher. I highly advise taking his class.

I felt like I got nothing out of his class; I was constantly berated, but got a decent grade. Uses examples from his reporting career instead of more useful, general ones.

Fabulous teacher, fun class. I now work as a professional wire journalist and I credit my ability to write tight, informative and to the point from Professor Graeff. Every journalist should know how to write for broadcast!

Good Professor. Will help you IN CLASS about writing stories, but out of class, he can be a bit "Don't want to talk to you"....He knows what he's talking about though

A number of complaints about Professor Graeff, but primarily I was irritated that when I thought I was in danger of failing his class, he refused to sit down and talk to me. I told him I needed to talk to him about the class and he flatly refused.
