I LOVED this class because of Dr. Kroeker. He's the best prof I've ever had. I've never seen someone so excited to teach people about something... or so passionate. as he said, "some people think that Latin grammar is confusing. But it's not, it's English that's confusing! English is stupid!"

ron's a really funny guy, he's genuinly cares about students and is a great storyteller... plus he's passionate about what he's teaching, his exams are extremely hard though... i got an A but i slaved for it, you have to memorize the book

Fantastic prof! Makes a dead language more than living. Loves grammar so much it's almost contagious. Has fun "Latin is all around us" segments and is straight forward with assignments and tests. Just a great, fun guy. To emphasize my point, a quote: "Angelina Jolie has latin on her stomach, god bless her!"

I had Ron for Classics 102 and Latin 101. He is the funniest guy ever. He does tend to go off topic, but it always lightens the mood when the class verges on being less than interesting. I would recommend switching out of your classes and only taking his. His teaching method is one where you have to listen, but it is worth it. He rocks.

The most entertaining prof I've had. Usually I am comatose during in the morning, but Ron makes learning the eccentricities of Latin grammar fun and the class goes by so fast. He could explain the concepts a wee bit more. We should learn some of the "formulae" for paradigms in Grote's web notes, and not just by rote memory as Ron often suggests.

What a great person!His classes are always interesting. He is extremely funny without even realizing it. EASY exams 25-question exams. Easy writing assignment. Tells stories the whole class and before you know it, class is over. He really loves his job and it shows. Highly recommended. You'll never regret taking his class. Excellent professor.

Prof Kroeker is an amazing teacher! Very entertaining, and made the material interesting to learn. for the exams..as long as you go to every class and get all the notes, and read all the textbopok readings, your good to go.

Ron's not a bad prof, but he does go off-topic a LOT. His random stories are amusing but generally irrelevent. He could have accomplished much more in class by focusing on practice and not on the "rules" of Latin (which are very simple in 101.) Dr. MacFarlane is a better choice and you'll learn way more from her class.

he is funny and nice, not a bad teacher BUT he is a slow teacher, which is bad during a night class because he gets boring and you don't get out early. (Kelly Macfarlene is a better night teacher)
