good. very knowledgeable of his field, kind of an awkward personality but hes still nice. His voice is bland, so if you don't pay attention it might seem like he;s boring but what hes saying is actually really interesting. Gives good critiques of you work but definitely does critic it, its not hard to do well in his class but hard to do very well

Good at what he does and he knows it. Hard class for marks, I tried super hard with only 2 classes got a B+. I never missed 1 lecture. He makes you work for your marks that is for sure. Funny, nice guy, kind of awkward to meet in person but he is good at lecturing, but as I said tough marker.

GREAT TEACHER! He is very funny and entertaining his class is so interesting and honestly the content is NOT HARD. Go to class and listen because there are no PowerPoint and the readings are illustrations of what he says in class. Unless you're a very lazy personyou should do FINE in his class. I would definitely take it again, even if it's at 9AM.

His class is really boring. His lectures are dry and he tries to make jokes but they're not funny and it just makes things awkward. Class isn't difficult but it's really hard to be motivated to go to class and there is no textbook so you need to go if you want to do well on exams.

Prof. Rudin is overall a very nice guy, however is a NO BS kind of teacher. If he sees you are not trying or not paying attention, he will call you out on it. His comments often see discouraging, but if you let them motivate you, you should be fine. I average an A- overall and i got a B in his class, DO NOT TAKE FOR "EASY" MARKS!!!

Nice guy to start the semester but as we moved into the project phase of the course he took a turn for the worst. He can be rude but I think that's the year wearing him down. His comments on assignments are helpful and he will let you redo them if they're not up to spec. Discouraging that this is the first experience in the field I want to work in.

Classic old style Professor, that has been teaching over 30 years now! Lectures are boring, tends to drift away. Just take notes, drink plenty of coffee. Try and go to see him, show that you care, it might help. He comes off as arrogant but he hes not that bad. Just ATTEND! he was a hard maker on the paper, and essays questions!

He was okay. Tries to make jokes in class but is really boring! I had to record the lectures and listen to them after because my mind kept drifting during class because he was so boring. Does not post powerpoints online so you need to go to class or you miss everything. No txtbook, only course pack.

I am quite surprised by his rating... I found him to be passionate about his lectures and very knowledgable. In the middle of the course, essay due next week.. I find him to be a good teacher and somewhat helpful but he makes jokes and really enjoys talking about history.. I found him open to all opinions...

I have to say I am quite surprised by the comments here. I took History of Ireland & Quebec with Prof Rudin, (that was over 10yrs ago, perhaps he's changed?) and I found him to be quite engaging AND helpful even: at his office and by email. Finally, I never found him to be rude, as others have pointed out.

The class itself seemed interesting but he is not very open minded about anything. While doing the assignments he would never accept any point of view except his! I would not recommend this teacher too much of a hassle for a even a semi-decent grade.

He knows his topic well but he does not allow students to think differently than he does. Tough marker, he can mark you down if your topic does not interest him. I do not recommend his courses. He is arrogant and when you speak to him he makes you feel like you're worthless. He acts as if he does not recognize you when you see him around.

reviews had me scared before i went to a class. its a fun class if you like history. i enjoyed it and his jokes during class. don't even try reading his handwriting. i never spoke to him 1on1 so i cant comment there. material isnt hard but hes a tough marker. if you listen in class and actually do your readings youll do fine. dont expect an A.

To call him a moron would be a tremendous insult to all the morons in the world. Has no clue, head is so far up his own rectum u begin to understand why he resembles a homeless turtle. One of the main reasons Concordia is found in the basement of most university rankings

Worst teacher that I had at Concordia. He is the worst grader of the world. You can know a lot about the subject but it doesnt matter because you have to learn to think like him in order to pass. I do not recommend this teacher.He knows a lot but is an arrogant person and when you speak to him he makes you feel like you said something ridiculous.

Before I started taking this class, I wasn't really interested in the subject, but as the semester progressed, he made it more and more interesting and I ended up really enjoying this class. He has a good sense of humour which makes the classes entertaining. Amazing professor.

I never thought I would have to avoid a teacher in my first semester of University. Yup, now I have one. He's very rude and arrogant and his grading system is very unfair, he has terrible handwriting, and fails to explain why he graded you the way he did accurately.
