Dr. Platt is the man!! All these people talking about he makes fun of people, he does it with intelligence and for good reason and its usually pretty funny! And the only reason he is late is because he teaches somewhere else and has to drive to Campbell straight from there. Hes a great teacher

Took him for senior seminar. Absolutely useless in terms of "teaching." The only thing I learned was what I researched on my own to prove him wrong in class (which I did and he tried to fail me for).

Rarely to never shows up on time (and you better wait for him to get there) and never lets out on time or early. Has uber high (ridiculously, really) expectations of his students, who he belittles constantly. I have no clue why anybody would take him on purpose or for a second semester

Either you hate him or you love him. Very satirical, demeaning but BLINDINGLY smart. Know your stuff and you'll do well. Hard class, but very informative teacher. Always arrives late, but expects you to stay in class. If you wanna work for a grade and watch slackers be called out, take him, you'll love it. All others, avoid at all costs.

Look in the mirror... do not be a hypocrite.... be on time, show your students a small level of professional respect and then share your wealth of knowledge.. the side show of consistently being late, "cutting on" students, etc, etc is simply not needed. You do not tolerate misbehaviors yet your own behavior is intolerable. Just teach!

He seems to have a TON of knowledge, but some ppl just shouldn't teach! ALWAYS late (20 mins at least) rude, intimidating, & he makes fun of his students about anything. He often thought we were all stupid & always said we should know everything about history when he hadn't even taught us yet! You MUST read both textbooks. I wouldn't take him.

Bigoted, pompous, and arrogant. He rambles incoherently about nothing, insults everybody that's not him, and has no understanding of how the brain works. I am not going to say that I enjoyed his class, that is irrelevant, what is relevant is that Dr. Platt taught me more about history as well how to think and reason than any other teacher I've had. He taught me to underline and highlight in my textbooks to comprehend better, he strengthened my writing skills, and helped me grow in my faith.
