This was the most curved class I've ever taken. The lowest grade I got on a test was 95, the others were over 100. He curves each test, then he also curves the final class. All these people are just completely retarded. Study the slides he posts online from the book for 2 hours before the test and you should get an A. The tests are all calculations

I figured all the negative comments on here were from lazy people who just didnt want to do the work...NO! Stout is awful and anyone who has had him will tell you the same. He takes the WHOLE 50 minuets of class to go over a single problem only to give you the wrong answer! You will learn nothing unless you read the book and teach it to yourself.

I have ad a lot of teachers but he tops the charts for the worst. He jumps all over. Only good thing is the promised curve he will give us. The class right now is averaging 60% without the curve. For the core, avoid this teacher. No specific detail or help on the project. Get to know your class mates and try to get the class average for your grade.

This guy is ridiculous, how the hell does he still have a job? He takes half the class to go over 1 topic because he pauses 10 mins between thoughts. His brain has absorbed so much chew (which he swallows) that it just doesn't function anymore. Teach yourself, enough said

Stout is hard. He knows it and so does everyone in his class. If you go to class and lift a finger in studying for the exam you will be fine. THE CLASS IS ALL COMPETITIVE. you must out-do your neighbors to receive an A. Great guy to talk to as well.

He was unorganized, disrespectful, and grades on a large curve. If he would put in as much time into his course as he does the bar, I may have been taught something instead of teaching myself. Be prepared to take pop quizes and spend time on projects that have little point value. Avoid Stout.

This class was a complete waste of my day. His lectures are pointless and he often will go through a long problem and then realize he did it wrong. Pop quizes are always a possibility and he grades on a huge curve that isnt helpful. He is disrespectful, smug, and overall a waste of teaching space.

This is THE WORST TEACHER EVER! Avoid him at all costs! I have had bad teachers before and he tops the charts! You will have to teach yourself from the book, he makes no sense at all, he doesn't know how to work the calculators, he is very rude to all the "unfavored" students and pays students to teach the class for him, tests are extremely hard

Get ready to teach yourself. He will show you how to solve a problem with 15 steps and then you will look in the book after class and it will show you how to do the same problem in 2 steps. Waste of my time. A few pop quizzes so you can't skip. Disrespectful and rude. Takes literally 75 minutes to finish a point or topic. Hated this class!

This professor is the WORST teacher I have EVER had in my life. He is disrespectful, and turns you away when you try to get help from him. First day, this prof was really rude but as you go along, he got pretty helpful. Helps a lot during office hours. Works with you on the integrated project. Teaches what you need to know. Tests are all M/C. Get to use formula sheets on test. Class overall so far 4/5

I highly suggest taking a different professor. R. G. Stout is not a bad guy, but unless you are an Accounting or Finance Major you will not understand most of what he tries to teach you. There are unannounced attendance quizzes and random quizzes. The tests are quite hard and there is no study guide. Even the study sessions were confusing.

Avoid taking this class. You will be teaching yourself from the book. He don't provide study guides and his quizzes are all pop up. He talks all the time about stuff that doesn't deal with class. He complicates the subject. You would be better off not listening to him. TRUST ME.

Sarcastic but nice in general. Tries to explain things as best as possible. Although, not even a doctor note will exuse you from a missed quiz. Go to EVERY class even though you wont want to. He does take an hour to complete one sentence...b-c he pauses for 10 min in between each word. You have to work at this class no matter who you have!
