Rose can sometimes be very hard to understand with her instructions. She has a great knowledge of Journalism. The workload is a lot. However, there are multiple drafts for each assignment and each time you can improve your grade. Sometimes talks down to her students. Overall, though take Writing for the Media with her. You will learn a lot.

Rose is great. I took Covering the Presidential Primary. I went into it knowing absolutely nothing about politics. I came out of it with a new view of the presidential campaign. She knows her stuff and makes class fun. I def. reccomend her.

I had Rose for "Covering the Presidential primary". If you like news and politics, this is your class. Rose knows so much about the roll the media plays in covering politics and she teaches in a way that is engaging and inspiring. She's open to feedback and loves student participation. The class is difficult, but you will come away well informed.

The only good part of this class was the actual writing of the stories, at least in that sense you learned the different kinds of news stories, other than that the class is useless. Very easy, it may seem like a lot of work at fitst, but the whole semester you pretty much only write one news story in different ways. Easy A. Stupid teacher.

Had Rose for Into to Jrn and Children in the Media and both classes were the same format, PPpresentations and you build the exams with your classmates. She's tough and a little hard to understand at some points but i liked her classes and found them interesting. Going to class and paying attention is KEY, don't just look up the presentations on BB, doesn't do much for you!

All the rumors you hear about Rose are true. She's tough but with good reason. Yes she is quite vague in some of her lectures but it gives students at the level of her courses a taste of the field they're more than likely pursueing. I wasn't excited about taking a class with Rose AT ALL I avoided her for 3 yrs. but she really is an awesome teacher

I absolutely LOVE Rose! She is one of the best professors I ever had. Some people don't like her style of teaching, but if you work hard, ask questions, and make an attempt at learning the material, you'll do fine. Give her a chance.
