Prof. P is an absolutely wonderful teacher. You can tell she really enjoys teaching. Every class was a lecture with guided notes to follow along with. She offered tons of extra credit, so take advantage! She only had 3 exams plus a final paper calculated for a grade. I would definitely take another one of her classes.

Comment:

Prof P was a great professor - I took geo online with her. I have always had an affinity for geography, but loved how in depth this class was. The hardest thing were her exams: she never tells you what will be on them. Make sure to only give essay answers from the textbook. Respect her, and she will respect you in return. I liked her a lot!!

Poltrone was the best science teacher I ever had. I'm so bad at science but her teaching methods really helped me. I only wished that she told me what specifically would be on the exam though. Otherwise I passed her physical geography and landforms class with a B and her environmental science class with a C. I highly recommend her.

She is probably the worst professor I had at ACC. She is very disrespectful towards her students. A lot of reading and note taking required in order to do well on the tests. She was very unclear about the structure of the tests and would constantly go off topic. If you like someone who constantly speaks with a condescending tone take this class.

She said this is the 2nd toughest class she teaches and I believe it. Interesting, though. You need to do the work and study, but she will help you along the way. 3 tests - no help given on what to study. Show up for the lectures and take notes. She does not include anything she didn't go over. Transect is time consuming - plan accordingly.

Doesn't treat students respectfully. Rushes students out of office hours-always has somewhere else to be. Not helpful when students need extra help. Doesn't offer extra credit or suggestions for extra help. Very blatant about passing her own classes with D's. I am an A student and don't recommend this teacher's class.

A nice personality doesn't cut it. She is not organized, always goes off subject. She assisted me on a math equation in our science lab, after turning the lab in she marked it as wrong!!!!! She was obviously not any help!!!

Terrible teacher. Harsh grader that takes away points for minute details. Exams are some of the hardest I've seen. No examples to work off of, no study guides. Labs are a complete waste of time. She is a nice person, does not make her a good teacher. Unrealistic expectations for entry level class.

She's helpful. If you don't attend class, you won't do well. I never bought the text book and got a great grade. She tests directly from her lectures. Her tests are hard but if you study the lecture notes, you'll do fine. She will go out of her way to help you. Don't talk in her class cuz she WILL ask you to leave. Nice prof and kinda fun too.

This teacher is great for an easy grade. Everything she expects is right in the syllabus and she never tests you on something she does not teach you. Tests can be a little hard but not impossible, and she tries to make labs fun as well.

The WORST, WORST online professor ever. Snide, rude, said to do one thing and expected another. Erased work off of d.b. so when she claimed you didn't do it, you couldn't prove otherwise. horrible. horrible. horrible. does not belong in online teaching, especially when she says "this isn't how my regular classes are".

Very sweet and cheerful, grandma-like but cute. I took the hybrid late-start class, so all the work was online/open book and we only had to come to class on wednesdays to earn a free 25 pts (class discussion). 2-3 hrs on class per week, not counting wednesday class time, so not bad at all--no papers, and grading is loose. I would def take it again.
