Best professor I had at Smith, hands down. Rosetta genuinely cares about her students and is really there for them both inside and outside the classroom. She is brilliant but doesn't hold it over anyone: super approachable, down-to-earth and kind. And hilarious. Oh, and ask her to draw something because she's really good at art too.

I graduated four years ago, and when I look back at my time at Smith, Cohen stands out as my best professor. She was incredibly smart and knowledgeable about her subject. And she taught me how to write.

I LOVE her!!! She was amazing and really made my first year experience at Smith. She was so helpful, in and out of class, and was very willing to meet and discuss ideas or even read over papers. Yes, she is a little disorganized, but that made her really understanding and flexible as well. Prepare to work hard, but also to be amazed!!

She is definitely hard to find outside of class, but in class she's present, prepared and interested in hearing her students' opinions. She encourages discussion in a way many teachers don't, and she really got to know us because of that.

I worked with Rosetta and she is incredible! Sorry,whoever posted last, I really don't know what you're talking about; I miss Prof. Cohen! Rosetta is basically what made me want to become a teacher. She is brilliant, hilarious,and a great artist (she drew little pictures on the board in class...adorable!!) She made my Smith experience, hands down.

I graduated from Smith in 2004 (we didn't have this site then!), and I'm back here to say that she was one of the best professors I ever had! The team project she gave was a major pain-in-the-butt when we were doing it, but I learned so much from it and from her!

Prof. Cohen is great!! She's sweet, friendly, knowledgable and very helpful (when you can find her). She cares about the subjects she teaches, and she cares about her students as well. (We had a lot of fun with Cohen-sensei in Kyoto!) Open to disagreement, informative, and understanding. I'd definitely consider taking another class with her!
