She is not a very good teacher. It's hard to describe how she isn't obviously bad but noticeably. Whenever I needed direction or guidance I probably wasn't help by her. Class isn't difficult but be prepared for the teacher.

I liked this professor, however, I would have rated her better if she was more accessible outside of class and explained things slower. Most of my learning was done by myself, her lectures left me with a lot of questions. Her tests very difficult because her lectures did not narrow down the information you would have on the exams. Read everything.

Dr. Bolen is a terrible teacher. She is extremely negative to students which creates a negative atmosphere to learn. I felt totally ignored in her class and felt that she didnt think I was as intelligent as other students

I would not recommend Dr. Bolen for symposium. Extremely tough grader. It took months for her to return graded assignments, so I had no idea of my grade until the very two weeks of classes.

She's not horrible. She uses mostly powerpoints with info from textbook, and she posts all of the powerpoints on Canvas. She doesn't really answer questions; she just likes to tell you that we read about it in the text. She also talks very quietly and monotone, but at least she knows what she is teaching.

Dr. Bolen is alright. If you read the textbook, you'll do fine. She doesn't know the answer to a lot of questions, so asking questions doesn't really help. She's also a little passive aggressive when the class isn't doing what she wants

I personally had mixed feelings about Dr. Bolen. There were some days where I really could not stand the lady and other days when I really did not think she was that bad. Her class is do-able when it comes to passing but you really need to study to even get a C before the curve on one of her tests. From what I have heard she is better than most.

She makes the concepts very easy to understand. Bio lab can be very boring at times. She WILL keep you until the end of the lab period, which is not always fun. Overall, I think she is very good professor.
