So caring and sweet. Took his jewelry-making class, which was a lot of fun and relaxing. Very understanding, especially if youre struggling to finish a project within the deadline and will work with you to make sure you can finish. Easy A.

Professor Barbera is outstanding. I am an art major and he is my favorite teacher. He connects with the students and takes time out of his own schedule to help with projects. He is a problem solver and is always up for a challenging jewelry idea. I wish he taught more classes, he makes the students want to work harder and learn more.

Took his watercolor workshop during the summer session. He's a great professor! It helps if you have an art background like I did but if you don't he'll teach you! I took the class as a GPA booster and ended up having a blast! I would take this class over again and would recommend it to all student, art background or no! Take his class, its great!

Awesome prof! Really enjoyed his jewelry making class. He knows all his students by name and ALWAYS opens up studio hours for us if we ask. Really a considerate guy. Have to keep an online portfolio on which you display your projects. You can get creative with everything. This was a great class!

Professor Barbera was great! He really tried to teach us watercolor and the most shocking thing was that it worked. He is very interesting and keeps you entertained throughout the class. If you want an "A" then all you have to do is complete your watercolors and come to class. Certainly Recommended

I loved this class with a passion!!! Prof. Barbera made this class very fun & easy! I had him this past summer for Jewelry Design and it was a very relaxing class. I recommend all majors(especially science) to take him. This class is a very great stress reliever. I received an A!!!

I took watercolor workshop for the winter intersession, and it was real easy. 5-6 projects to do, barbera's extremely helpful, and it's kinda fun. probly the best art professor at SJU, so I recommend him BIG TIME!

Easy grader and a cool guy who loves and appreciates art. Took this course over the summer and loved it. After taking this class I was more inclined to make an effort to visit museums, galleries and exhibits more. Either your an art major or non-art major this class is a great introductory or overview understanding to history or world of art.
