Ross Cochran inspired me to become a Bible and Ministry minor. He is accessible outside of class, kind, funny, inspiring, and wise. Lectures are engaging and interesting. Tests are not too hard if you study well. Hardest part of the class is the term paper, but he is willing to help you so much. I would highly recommend this course and take again.

He puts a lot of intention into his class. He cares about every student and will probably make an obvious effort to get to know you. The class requires good note taking during lecture, but follows a blueprint that you just fill out, and tests are hard but not overwhelmingly so. The most difficult part is the essay, but he will work with you on it.

Dr. Cochran is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. He will work with you to get you to the grade you need, but the class isn't difficult to begin with. I learned so much having him for BNEW as an Honors Scholar!

Dr. Cochran is a good teacher. Point is, you will get in a grad what you put in study throughout the semester. Approachable, this guy is great to students. About what the ministry and campus mission statement is all about.

Dr. Cochran is one of the kindest, wisest men. His class teaches so much more than the Gospels. He gives you advice about so many parts of life. I consider him a friend and mentor after taking his class. I am so glad I got to learn from him for a whole semester. What an amazing man of God! His tests are the study guides- not hard if you study.

Dr. Cochran is the sweetest man I know. He has a deep understanding of the Bible. He could certainly be more instructional at times rather than disorganized and rambling, but he knows what he's talking about.

I love Dr. Cochran as a teacher, and I consider him to be a friend at this point. He invited my entire class of transfer students to have breakfast at his house near the end of the semester! Highly recommend him for anything, especially if you're a lost transfer student like I was.

Dr. Cochran is the man! Tests are identical to the study guides, which are a lot of information but not terrible. He kind of jumps around but is organized in his own way. He teaches life lessons on a daily basis. Great guy and if you are taking his class, consider yourself lucky!

Gives you notes to fill in but they are pretty out of order; he jumps from page to page. The tests have a lot of material but he tells you almost exactly what's on it; you just have to study. There are 20 or so boring readings for the semester; some have quizzes the next day but not all.

One of my favorite teachers. Dr. Cochran genuinely cared about our success, and was quick to offer help when we needed it. His tests were only moderately difficult if you studied. I would highly recommend his class!

GREAT MAN! awesome heart for the Lord, open and honest with students BUT the class was not taught very clearly in my opinion. a lot of information about life skills, but textual info was given quickly and un-clearly. a lot is expected on tests.

My first bible class at Harding, and I was scared, not being Church of Christ, but a fairly liberal christian. Ross was GREAT, not a bigot, interesting, thoughtful, nice guy. Plus the "textbook" was Don Miller's Blue Like Jazz, which is like a statement of my own faith. Highly Reccommended

incredibly easy. i took him the semester after i took dr manor and found the class to be more like a bible study than an actual class. i don't know that it was possible to get below a B in the class if you actually showed up...
