Rix is awesome as a prof, but she has a lot of requirements, attendance, no excused absences, and you HAVE to do group projects, but she's really easy going, we had to kick a girl out of our group and Rix didn't have a problem with it. Her class usually ends early and she will ALWAYS help

Rix obviously knows her material, but she's terrible when it comes to delivering lectures. Also if you have COM 10, watch out for her outlines. If you have one tiny mistake she'll give you 0 credit. Shows no sympathy to students when it comes to grading outlines. If possible avoid her COM 10 class, it's easy but she makes it difficult for no reason

Professor Rix is very confusing. One day she'll be rude and tough and the next day easy going. Very annoying ticks and likes to call people out.

Says things once and expects you to remember it even if it's not on the syllabus. The material is incredibly easy, so class is boring but somehow she manages to make the assignments impossible. One mistake on outline no credit. Very strict and unsympathetic about absences. Makes class more awkward than it needs to be. Never lets out early. Avoid.

Got a B in this class and I didn't try that hard in this class. If you go to class, take notes and do the study guide for each test you will pass. Everyone who is saying this class is hard is because they didn't study or prepare for the exams. The class is easy if you just study and try like you are suppose to do in college.

For anyone wanting to take theatre because it seems like an easy course, do NOT take it with this professor! I attended class, took notes and read my book but the questions on the test are ridiculously hard and you only have 30 MINUTES to complete 50 QUESTIONS! The study guide that she gives is only useful for the first test, after that its useless

Rix was overall an okay professor. Her class wasn't hard as long as you went to class and took notes. Her exams are online, with a time limit. But often the time limit is too short. You are also required to see a play which you have to pay for. But then you take a 15 question quiz and its worth 100 points so its easy points

Worst professor. You'd think an intro class would be an easy A but not with her. Exams are timed, Questions are used that aren't on the study guide and she expects you to read the text and all the plays in great detail. Went to class & spent 6 hours prepping for the final and still failed an online test with a study guide. My advice is stay away.

Rix is extremely informative on her topic, but she is rather eccentric. Her powerpoints aren't on D2L and the tests are timed online (2o minutes, 50 questions). Class isn't mandatory but it helps a LOT. Talks about her work a lot. Her quirks make the class interesting but you do have to sit through some boring videos. Overall, rather alright class.

Half decent class- and thats coming from a person who enjoys theatre. Really knows what shes talking about. Tests are online which is good except there timed. Book is optional- only really need it if your going to read it but tests are open book. Almost always let out early. If your not into theatre or straight lecture dont take the hour 20.

Tests online except the play. This sounds like a good thing, but only 30 sec per question.. I would have done much better on them if I actually had time to think while on a scan-tron. Worst of all I missed the only one that is on a scan-tron because a fever and couldn't get a doctor's appointment till the next day and she wouldn't let me take it.

If you do not like going to class, take her because attendance is not required. However, going to class is a good idea because she gives you everything that is on the test and every test is online and open note. So if you go to class, this class should be the easiest A ever. She also offers extra credit and will help you out if you need it.

Easy but pointless class. She never takes attendance but the notes she gives during lectures are helpful, as all the tests are online and open book. As for her, she's arrogant and constantly talking about all the theatrical work she's done in the past. She tries to make the class easy though. You also have to go to 2 plays for a grade.
