This professor is the worst I have had in all of my years at UAA. He does not want to see you succeed. The class is ridiculously hard for a 101 class. He failed me and I have never been so discouraged to continue my education. Please avoid him at all costs.

I thought he was a good professor. Some times it was frustrating to try to understand the concepts, but the book can be helpful at times. He also has pop quizes, that he annouces the class before and he tells you what whill be on it. Just show up, and do the homework and you will be good to go.

Hard Class, Fun Teacher. Really makes tax interesting. Full of knowledge. Sense of humor could be construed as rude at times, but still hilarious. Recommend this teacher for tax over any other.

Horrible professor, I don't understand how he is still teaching. He is rude, selfish, hard headed, horrible professor. Not helpful at all, all you do is TEACH yourself. I definately wasted my money.

Worst college professor i have had in my two years at UAA. If you take this class you will have to put up with lots of homework, unorganized lectures, and a sub par professor. He is a cool guy but i don't pay hundreds of dollars to laugh in class, i pay to have a professor efficiently give me the necessary information i need to pass the class.

Paying attention to the book will help more than his disorganized class structure and messy handwriting. If you can, try another professor. He is funny, but will let you (and the entire class) know if you ask a "stupid question" (known from personal experience). However, Fernandez seems better than Boze, from what I've read in the reviews.

Rudy has a smooth curriculum...if you show up and do the homework, this isn't a difficult class...however, he is very much an alpha male and will not hesitate to belittle and 'joke' at your expense...don't be late, he'll bark 'YOU'RE LATE!'...he crosses the comfort line in a very disrespectful way...surprising, dissappointing....

Notice the common thread in all the ratings for this teacher? You don't learn jack in class. One of the worst professors I've ever had the misfortune of having. You're better off not even going to class and just teaching yourself from the book...wait, this is why we're paying tuition? Thinks he's cool by swearing in class/intimidating student.

His tax course can be ranked as one of the hardest in the accounting department. His lectures can be funny at times, but funny wont help on the exams. The exams are open book & open note, but they are still extremly difficult. His research papers also require lots of time to complete. A lot of the learning come form the research papers

He's a great guy and a fun teacher, until you take his exam! Spend alot of time studying your books and ignore most of the lecture. Funny lectures don't prepare you very well for killer exams! Good luck.

Teaches accounting and income tax. A really fun guy with some good experiences to pass along. He's always willing to take extra time if it doesn't make sense to you. His classes aren't a walk in the park, but aren't designed to fail 50% of the class either. You'll probably learn a lot too.

Have taken two classes from this professor. He is funny and entertaining. Only complaint is that his tests are MUCH harder than the material presented in class. Focus your studies more on the text book than what is discussed in class.
