Ah, Evil and good. It is a ton of work, but it's all worth it. Kleinbach is great and one of the most helpful teachers i've ever had. If you're looking for a thought provoking class, this is it. You have to read and post on blackboard every night, however it helps to keep you up on everything. Highly recommend him for any class! Great Experience

Comment:

Kleinbach is a nice man, however he has very strong views about the world. DO NOT take this class if you hate reading and writing. The 2500 word paper is annoying to write and you must read every night for homework (and post your discussion on blackboard). It's just a lot of pain in the butt work I didn't need.

If you are loyal to your country or a GOP supporter, don't take Klienbach's evil and good. He uses his own writing as sources and his liberal agenda is painfully obvious. He tries to say US gov't policy and practices are evil and should be more like the Europeans. If you disagree, he will always ask to "table the argument" leaving it unresolved.

Social Conflict- Tests are too hard, hope you like to write and seriously regeritate absolutely every little ridiculous radical extreme left wing ideology. He is absolutly AMAZING teacher. Hard and there is a lot of reading that you MUST do, but will help you learn a lot about yourself and your own beliefs if you participate. Always will find time to help you if you feel you do not understand something. He and I practically went over two classes. Be forwarned though, this is not a blow-off class.

Russ is a VERY smart man, he has experienced and done so much in his life. I really enjoyed this clasa and didn't want to miss any. Def. be ready to read every night for HW and sometimes its a lot. the whole class is discussion based so if you are quiet in class dont bother. I learned a lot and would take him again

In a way, I'm glad I took this class b/c I've learned a lot, but studying for the tests was overwhelming. It can definately be done.. but expect to study your ass off for them. Really nice guy, incredibly smart, and keeps the class interesting. Lots of class discussions, contraversial topics, etc.. Don't take it if you dont like to participate.

OK ill be honest. I think the class was boring. Readings were terrible. He does do his best at explaining the material though. Its A LOT of reading. Tests are hard, involves LOTS of memorizing. Grades hard as well. To be frank, the class is way tooo much for a GEN ED course.
