Dr. Crispin may be intelligent and interesting although you will never know that from her teaching. She's completely scatter-brained and nearly impossible to follow throughout her "lectures". She asks unclear questions and when asked to clarify talks circles around the topic so that you're left with less of an understanding than before.

Had Dr. Crispin for Belief&Thought. She is an excellent professor, very bright and well spoken. She knows art and literature very thoroughly and teaches it well. You will have to read a bit, but most of the works she selects are interesting, classical pieces by influential writers. Learned some great stuff, especially about art. Excellent teacher.

I have had Dr. Crispin two semesters now (Intermediate Spanish and Don Quixote & Hispanic Anti-Heroes). I would say her classes are not hard but time-consuming. She is very intelligent and quite frank if she does not agree with you. She speaks fair Spanish (i.e. no "slang"). She's also quite funny.

She's very proficient in Spanish. Some people complain that she basically only uses Spanish in lecture, but after all this is a 200 level Spanish class so you're expected to have at least some level of proficiency in it.

I heard that she is bad for IH (so don't take her). However, for Intermediate Spanish, if you have a good background in Spanish in Highschool, the class isn't that hard. If you relatively new to Spanish, DO NOT TAKE THAT CLASS. She assumes you know too much stuff.

If you have a choice of not taking her class, do it. You will never know what your grade is until the end of the semester. Shoots down everyone's opinion. Tests are essays, comparing quotes and they are very difficult. Do not eat in class, will get a lecture and will threaten to throw things at you. Acts like we are IH majors, but were science mjrs

Worst Prof I ever had. I consider myself well versed in many things and she tore me down without any merit. She is intelligent if you agree. If you don't you are wrong. She referred to us as "high schoolers." I filed a complaint with the head of the deparment. Taught mostly art and religion. Told me I knew nothing about Luther when I am Lutheren.

She's AWFUL. She knows what she's talking about, but dosn't say anything clearly. She will ask for your opinion and then tell you you are wrong, and then five minutes later restate your opinion saying that its correct. You have to do a ton of work and she honostly believes that your major is IH.
