People REALLY need to quit whining about how hard her tests are. They aren't even difficult-they're mainly common sense. She can be offensive and a little too blunt sometimes. I don't feel like she's too clear or has taught me much, and she isn't the most helpful professor out there..but her class is not hard at all so QUIT COMPLAINING!

When I first read all of the comments, I was terrified to take her class. She is tough, and can be very blunt. But I've realy grown to respect her as a teacher. She knows her stuff and if you allow her, she'll help you become knowledgeable in your field. The test are very hard; study hard for the 1st one - know the laws;I would take her again.

WOW. What can I say.Essay tests that no one could pass. Not clear on directions. If you go to her about something, you're the one that's the idiot. She's very smart;I think that she needs to remember what it's like to be a student. Participate in her class-she loves it. Be a suck up, you might get on her good side. I do respect her though.

Dr. Thompson chooses favorites. I am A/B student, and I have worked harder in this class for nothing. I don't recomend her. On my class's 1st test only four students recieved a grade higher than a D. She is very disorganized and looses many papers. GOOD LUCK.

Her tests are extremely hard. Each question can be worth 25 points. She does 100 points per chapter, but does not cover ANYTHING in class. She will talk forever about anything not related to the test. Good luck digging yourself out- you WILL FAIL the first test!

Dr. Thompson is great. Her best line ever was as she was looking at a class of all white kids, "You folks all have Monday off for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. day.... and I'm sure everyone will be out celebrating his accompishments." She is HILarious. Don't worry about failing every one of her tests because her projects make up for it.

I read the remarks posted, and was scared to death to take her. I am so glad I did !!! She is an incredible lady!! The test are difficult but the mood in the classroom is relaxed. I would certainly take her again. She is honest and upfront about everything.

I have Dr. Thompson for four years in college. I had her at least 3 time and she was great. She can be a pain sometime but if you really need to work with her, she will work with you. She even came to my graduation party...which was unexpected!
