Overall Dr. Truss is an excellent professor! Her lectures were very heavy and detailed. Same exact material that she gives you during lectures, will be on the exam. Great Class. I passed with an A!

such a sweet lady and a wonderful teacher. she is passionate about history and wants to help you learn. she only gave 4 exams plus a final. i didn't really use the textbook, but she did have some questions on the exam that came from chapter reading. great professor, would take again.

She is such a sweet and caring teacher!! However, her test are tough and there are only 4 test the entire semester so you must do well on your test!! You must be in class and take good notes in order to pass the test. I would recommend her as a professor though because she is VERY HELPFUL!!

This was my second time taking Dr. Truss and she is amazing! She is so kind and helpful, her office is always open. The only grades are 4 exams, but sometimes she'll drop your lowest. Also for the exams, if you just study your notes, you'll be fine. Highly recommend taking history 101 & 102 with her.

She is the sweetest woman! She has the best attitude a professor could have. I had her for History 101 and currently in 102. If you show up to class and take good notes, her classes are a breeze. She's super helpful with questions, gives great study guides and the tests are always in order by which you learned the material. Highly recommend her!

This professor is easily one of the best at the entire University. Not only is she an excellent teacher, she is a caring individual who wants her students to succeed. If you do the work and study for the tests, you will do well in any of her classes.

Dr. Truss was really nice and helpful with everything. She made sure you understood the material before she moved on, and she would also write encouraging notes on your tests when she handed them back. If you needed help (like if you got a C or lower), she would offer to help you. The textbook really isn't necessary. She uses PowerPoints, mostly.

She is the sweetest person ever! So helpful, always remembers names! She includes poetry on her exams which have hidden answers, it's so fun! Her grading on essay tests is hard, but just study a lot and you'll get an A!

Dr. Truss is the best history professor at UM. She cares about her students, is extremely helpful, and makes the material interesting. If you go to class and write down the notes that she provides for you on the board then you will do well in her class. She has inspired me in and outside of the classroom and I'm thankful that I had her.

If you're a History major, you will base your entire schedule around this woman. She is amazing and she is the sweetest lady you could ever meet. She makes everything interesting and doesn't try to make things harder than they should be. She makes a point to know everyone personally, which makes her very approachable when needing help.

Ruth Truss is pure joy to have as a teacher! I had her for 101 and 102 and her class was my favorite part of the day! You can tell how much she loves teaching and she makes you excited to learn more. She gives you everything you need for her test. I would be fairly hard to fail her class!
