Comment:

At first she scared me. That was her technique to weed out the people who were not completely committed. Once you got to know her tho, she was extremely helpful and committed to her job. She loved teaching and took it very seriously. She instilled a love of books in us and helped us understand their value in the classroom. Loved her so much!!

Mrs. DiPento is a wonderful lady when you get to know her. Truthfully, I was very intimidated when I first started the class. But she really helped me open up and not be afraid to be called on for my opinion. I really appreciate her style of teaching. Just don't be intimidated, ask a lot of questions to make things clear, and you will do fine.

Ever had a teacher tell you that you were not prepared because you had to take classes by television. Ever had that same teacher tell it to you in front of a class. I may not be the smartest student, but I worked darn hard just to be put dowm because of how I had to take classes.

Lady r-e-a-l-l-y enjoys male bashing in classes. "Young man, do you have a problem with this? Young man, are you thinking? Young man, ..." You get the idea. Why a guy would be an elementary education major after her is a mystery to me.

I know the lady keeps winninng awards for teaching excellence because she keeps telling us about them, but I haven't got a clue why. Could it be because students are intimidated and afraid that she will hunt us down in our sleep and act worse if we don't nominate her? Really gets off on singling out guys and being what she calls blunt.

I took her class with the rumor that she likes to embarass male students. She does. I watched and saw lots of intimidation, which she thinks is instruction. I'd go somewhere else rather than have to take another of her classes. No reason to act like she does.

Her classes aren't really super hard, but don't go in expecting an A because that almost never happens. If you just want to take an easy class get someone else, but if you want a to learn a lot and to be pushed to do your best DiPento is always a good choice.
