Had him as my Professor for 1st. semester Intro to database. Really nice person, lectures are very helpful, labs are very useful as well. Lecture notes are super useful. Grading criteria are clear. Approachable in class and after hours. Replies to emails within the hour. Takes attendance in labs/lectures. Understands that life happens.

I had the pleasure of being part of Saif's first year database course. While still efficient and timely, this professor ensures that the content is being understood by taking time to provide practical examples and a thorough explanation. He is a very reasonable person and quite understanding. Additional help is almost always available as well.

Saif (as he prefers to be called) is a great teacher, hopefully you can get past the accent. He will l most likely claim "I never tell jokes" but soon after you will realize that was a joke. He loves class clowns (tell him I sent you) and gives very thorough and well weighted tests. Expect a grade that represents what you know.
