Professor O'Driscoll is extremely rude and will make it obvious if she thinks your question is stupid or should have already been known. She does not like to give A's and is very good at making you feel uncomfortable in class. Very boring class.

She has the intentions of a good teacher but the absolute opposite personality. She is stone cold and won't let anyone leave class. She favors hard on females. She can't get enough of playing devil's advocate and enjoys making students uncomfortable. The most unapproachable and awkward teacher ever. Look into ancient times to find someone with an A

Grading criteria for papers is non-existent and for an online course this is a must. Professor is extremely negative in comments, I think I've received maybe 4 or 5 positive remarks over the course of the semester. We have a weekly discussion board which is largely unhelpful in helping us determine what our essay topics will be. C- professor.

She's a tough grader but she leaves good feedback. If you follow her direction and review her comments you'll be fine. If you want an easy A this is not the class for you. If you want to improve your writing and don't mind hard work then take this course.

She expects you to do something every single day of the week. Her papers are impossible to do well on and her comments on them are not helpful at all. Her grading system is also bizarre. If you are looking for an english core class DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. This class was more work than the classes for my major and I still couldn't do well.

Great class that covers many interesting real world topics. She makes you think in ways you may not be used to which is great. You have a lot of opportunities to re write essay drafts which is awesome. Take this class ay.

Terrible teacher. Extreme feminist and she hates athletes. She is very arrogant and will criticize everything you do but not help you fix it. She makes assumptions about students and holds them against you. She plays favorites and is very unclear as to what she is looking for. My advice is to avoid any of her classes.

O'Driscoll is a fantastic professor. She set up some really interesting discussions and gave us a lot of room to explore unique topics in our papers. Quite the feminist and may come off as a bit intense, but if you're interested and looking to learn she's great! Encouraging and really thinks/presents the topics in a stimulating way.

Fantastic professor. Definitely a lot of reading but an extremely interesting class. She really wants students to learn and expand on their ideas. Take her if you want to actually learn something.

she was a really hard grader but the class was never boring. she stresses having a debatable thesis statement, which actually allows you to have an opinion and to take some risks with your writing. shes also pretty good at explaining things that could be complicated in a way that you can understand... i highly recommend her if youre trying to impro

One of the best profs I've ever had. You really have to work to get her respect and quality grades, but it's worth it. Anyone who says otherwise is just one of the many homophobic, **** people here who can't write to save his/her life and blames their grade on the prof. If you can write and analyze film/lit, you'll be fine. Just be openminded.
