This is an easy A as long as you show up and half way pay attention. Attendance is not required, but he will bump you up a letter grade if you haven't missed more than 2 or 3 classes. Lectures are pretty boring, but take notes and try to pay attention because his tests come straight from the lectures.

He seems to have an attitude that he knows it all. You aren't graded for attendance, but he will bump your letter grade up if you have a good attendance record. Just study the material he gives you and you'll do fine. Some of his questions are tricky, so read them carefully.

Easy A as long as you show up to class. Lectures can be long and boring but pay attention because everything on the tests he covers in the lectures.

Personally I hated this class. If you don't know how to read and or write music at all this class is going to be very difficult. He talks a lot and go off on tangents a lot that don't pertain to what we are learning. He is very anal about little things and takes 10 minutes of class time to take role everyday. I didn't like him as a professor at all

While the class is kind of difficult he does give bonus points to those who always show up and participate. Also if you are a favorite student and have a question he is more than happy to answer your question. Also if he talks about drummers mention Buddy Rich.

I think Fredrick is a really underrated professor. He is really nice and as long as you come to class and talk to him a couple of times he will help you out in the end. He tells you what's on the test so as long as you study a bit you will be good.

I absolutely loved his class for Music Appreciation, even with all 112 students, he knew me by name. He would go over the test the class before and his test were super common sense if you pay attention.

His mini tests are HARD. His review before the test dont really help much either. Be warned hell word things differently in class than on tests.

Mr. Fredrick is what I expected a college professor to be like. Participate and go to class in order to receive "my points" from him. The technical mini tests are difficult, but study the day before and you'll be fine. Study your notes for the major tests and you're good to go. Go to class, pay attention and study and you'll be fine.

I liked Dr. Fredrick. He was a little annoying at times because he takes music very seriously but as long as you come to class and study a little you will be fine. He goes over the tests and is willing to round your grade up a whole letter grade if you show up to class and participate. Make sure he knows who you are.

One of the most inspirational and respected professors at the university. This class is not for the lighthearted when it comes to music. He is a tough grader with tough tests. The class itself is terrible and I would never take it again but an awesome professor. Gives extra credit at the end if you were a decent student to him and class.

Talk about the easiest teacher on campus! I have no musical background whatsoever. Yet, passing Fredrick's class is quite simple. You will pass If you pay attention, show up to class, and actually talk to the guy. P.S. He has a thing called my points. If you do what I said above, he will round your grade a whole letter grade.

Dr. Fredrick was a pretty fun guy. The class was super easy to me. He gives out 4 tests then the final and has a pretty clear grading system. He'll also bump your grade up to the next letter provided that it's within reason (86 goes up to an A, an 84 would stay a B). His tests are the exact same ones he's been administering for years.

Fredrick's class is extremely easy if you have a musical background. I never used my book. If you have no musical background, prepare to study. Tests aren't that bad though.

Mr. Fredrick's class was one of the easiest I've ever taken. I really liked him, just show some respect and show up to class, and you'll have no problem getting an A. He'll bump your final grade up a letter point if you are close.

if you have a strong musical background the first couple of weeks will be miserable but the class isnt all that bad. I made a lot of friends through this class because it was so easy for someone who has studied music. Easy A for sure. show up and at least pretend to pay attention and you're set. He doesn't really like back row people. gives 6 tests

I have no musical background and did fine. Just come to class and participate every now and then to get what he calls "me points." For someone like me who didn't know music, take notes and study a little and the tests are fine. I learned how to read music (at least well enough that it helps me in Church Choir) so I appreciated the class.

I have no musical background. I wasn't fond of this class and I did sort of terrible on most of the tests. I had no interest because I do not like Frederick's personality one bit. But, I was able to end with a B because I showed up every day and participated once and awhile. So, you don't really have to show up if you're musically inclined.

This is old man is something else. Super long lectures. If you have no experience with music technicals then do not take him. He teaches are beyond technical levels of music appreciation. Take anyone else.
