Avoid him at all cost please!he acts like he cares but he doesn't. I guess you can get on his good side if you laugh at his jokes but they are really not funny! just take somebody else because this teacher can ruin your GPA he expect you to learn everything on your own.i am a good student welling to learn but he was just no help.

He expects you to study hard and think (if you do both, you'll probably not miss a class either). This class was very challenging and if you aren't serious about getting a good grade, then you won't: that simple. He has a lot on his plate, but only because he has the best interests of his department and his students at heart.

Dr. Zeakes was a biased teacher allowing his emotions leak into his teaching. He tries hard but messes up on some of his work. If you do not laugh at his jokes, your placement in his class will take a falling status in his efforts to help you out. And if he "helps you out" he reprimands you in the process. Take Rogers if you can.

Dr. Z is the best anatomy teacher out there. He really trys to help you learn it and remember it. I have taken this class twice once by another and then him and he makes it so much more than learning he makes you want to learn and has many different ways to help you learn. MY FAVORITE teacher at Radford...he truely cares!!!

Dr. Zeakes is a great professor, and if you ask for help, he will definitely be there to help you. I highly recommend taking him out for a beer if you're of age. Also, ask him to meet you in Dalton the morning of a test a couple hours before the test, and have a cup of coffee and go over stuff for the test. He'll pretty much give you the answers

No matter who you take it with its HARD! I know because Ive taken it twice, I had a 3.75 and got a D and it dropped me to a 3.02 so I know. But he's a good professor, get on his good side (which isnt hard as long as you care) and you'll do fine.

By far one of the hardest classes anyone will take but Zeakes is a smart and knowledgeable professor. He will do anything to look out for his students. It's not his fault the material is hard and overwhelming...it's the course. Zeakes is a great teacher. Good Luck

watch out for this class, regardless of how prepared you THINK you are you are more than likely to have to retake it @ least once. dr.zeakes acts like he cares for his students, but in the end he just makes you feel like you're stupid. all i can say is GOOD LUCK bc if you're a sports medicine major you HAVE to take this class and he is the onlyprof

By far the hardest class you will take. Dr. Z is a pretty decent guy, but he has his days. Be willing to put A LOT of time into studying if you want to do well. Lecture exams aren't nearly as hard as lab exams. Decent class, but I wouldn't take it unless you have to.

The hardest class most of you will take at RU. The amount of material in lecture + the lab is overwhelming if you want to do decent, but Dr. Zeakes is amazing. He is incredibly knowledgable, uniquely intelligent, and more willing to help out than any teacher I have ever had. He wants you to succeed more than anything in the world.

Definitely a hard class. you feel very proud of yourself when you finish, even just if you passed. he'll work you to death, but you'll strangely enjoy it. Do your work, and try to help other students, he'll be very lenient with grading if he knows that you try hard and if he sees you make an effort to help people whenever you can. If you're really good at it, don't answer all his lecture questions, he doesn't like that. Answer enough so he realizes you know what your doing, give others a chance to learn

I think I laughed every single day in class, as well learned some of the most fasinating stuff. He is an awesome professor who will help you in any way he can. Not as hard as everyone thinks but study is a must. Recommend reading before coming to class. Be preparred and get to know him!!!
