He's about as good as it gets at carleton. He is conscious of the financial state of students and picks his textbooks accordingly. Offers free course supplements and tools. He is an easy going guy, and makes some pretty relevant connections to real world situations. His tests are the most fair tests in my 4 years of engineering here.

Can easily get A-range in this course. Recommend attending classes (gives hints in class as to quizzes/midterm/exam) and favours those that attend. Don't need to study many of the slides, but will only know that if in class. Projects, pres, midterm are easy. Final was fair. Tries not to answer questions. Gives bad impression but is decent guy.

Laughing at your students for misunderstanding your poor english is not acceptable. Very conceited, needs to have the last word and be right (even when he's wrong) about everything. On the plus side gives very fair midterms & finals and has informative exam overviews.

Absolutely useless. 90% of the time, misunderstands questions and confuses class. He then proceeds to call the CLASS idiots for not understanding him when obviously he's the one with a problem. Pompous as anything. Laughs at students who don't understand (I'm NOT kidding). Only thing going for him is he tells you exactly what's on the final.

Run. This guy has mastered the art of making you feel like an idiot. He is VERY condescending! He will not answer any of your emails, instead all he does is say in class: "oh i got some emails last night, i read them and just laughed". Also, god forbid your grandma dies, because he won't give a sh*t! I'd rather cut myself than attend his lectures!!

One of the worst teachers I have had. Boring as hell, doesn't engage in students at all. Should use more examples and less dry definitions. I don't come to class to have the textbook read to me. I come to class to be shown applications of the concepts.

Excellent presentation skills, encourages students to participate in class, resulting in more students understanding the material.Other profs who teach Software Design courses at Carleton should take notes from him and notice his ability to communicate effectively as well as to SPEAK ENGLISH.

UML can be made interesting, but he makes sure its hell. Ridicules students on questions (can you believe he laughs at us?). Can't seem to realize that there's more than 1 way to design a system. Not flexible at all, and everyone gets between B- and B+. People should get what they deserve.
