Professor Hammer was one of the greatest professors I ever had. He made Natural Science a fun subject to study and really cares about his students. Go to class, read any readings he gives (there isn't that much but stay on top of it) and see him during office hours.

Professor Hammer is the BEST PERSON IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD! Extremely hilarious, down to earth and caring. He is so passionate about science and really wants to help you grow as an individual. As a non-science major, this class was extremely hard, but Hammer is great at lecturing and explaining. (Plus, there is never homework!)

He seems like a fun and nice guy but quickly changes. If he doesn't like you, you're screwed. He gets pretty condescending, and makes you do useless labs. Avoid if you can, but he's relatively harmless.

Hammer definitely knows his stuff-you'll hear him constantly bragging about his level of education and world tours. His tests are definitely simple format, but he is constantly trying to be a comedian in lecture and assumes you understand concepts he finds very simple. I found it hard to concentrate w/ all his jokes and stories.Wouldn't take again.

Professor Hammer is a great guy! Although he is sometimes unclear and a little bit ridiculous, he is a fun teacher. As long as you study for the exam you will do well. He now gives multiple choice exams... so I guess that makes all the difference. He is a changed guy, he's still a little crazy, but he is fair, interesting, and a good teacher.

Extremely rude and arrogant teacher. The tests are obscure and have little to do with the content of the course. He intentionally fools you with his initially lighthearted demeanor. Personally insulted me and is just slimy.

Don't let his smile fool you or his cheery voice. He screws your grade, is not helpful at all. His tests are impossible and have nothing to do with what he teaches in his kindergarden-like power points. He is unfair and screws people over. If he doesn't like you or the people you are associated with he holds grudges. Save yourself and switch teams!

He screws everyone over. One of the rudest people i have ever been taught by. Comes across as cool but screws everyone over. His multiple choice exams are ridiculous and he never teaches anything that are on them. do not get him, switch teams

smart guy but completely incompetent and unprofessional as a teacher. Moderately insane, don't make him angry otherwise you'll see a reaction similar to the guy with the hose in silence of the lamb. Jokes around a lot but not helpful what-so-ever and by day two you'll be tired of his jokes and just ready to actually learn something. You won't.

Professor Hammer is an awesome instructor. He knows his subject and has a direct connection to his students. As a student of his, I underwent a divorce and he took time to personally contact me to ensure that I was doing OK and to promote the "never quit" attitude. Keep it up Doc. Your a good man and a great instructor.

In the beginning of the year he acts like he's a real nice guy and you can rely on him for help. FALSE. For the 500 word paper second semester, took 6 weeks to grade, worth 25 percent. Screws everyone over. Do not fall for his "I love you guys, you're the best, love HAMMIE." Hammer is out to get you for capstone grading. You have been forewarned.

Professor Hammer "Hambone" is the WORST NS Professor I have ever had. Not only is he CONDESCENDING and unavailable for conferences after he graded the 500 page research paper that was worth 25% of our grade 6 WEEKS LATER, but he pretends to be this chill hippy and then slams you on a ridiculous exam. My hard work in this class doesn't show now.

Comment:
Prof. Hammer doesn't care about his students. Gives useless and easy lectures, which then translate to ridiculous tests. Took 6 weeks to grade 2-page papers and then says he's unavailable for conferences. He acts crazy and funny during lecture, but is condescending in private. And he won't help you if you're struggling. Worst. Professor. Ever.

This man is the best bio professor ever! He is so passionate about making Biology interesting to students who could care less. He is funny, kind, and extremely interested in helping his students. Though his grading may be picky at times, it only helps you for midterms and finals. He responds to email so quickly and is a genuinely nice person!!

I cannot believe this is a college class at a major 4 year university. The material is so easy and the tests are DIRECTLY from the notes. Don't listen to other peoples complaints about how hard he is. If you think his tests are difficult then its time to look yourself in the mirror. I mean you have to do some work but trust me not much.

Is fake funny and fake nice. His teams exams are near impossible. He seems like a nice guy, but don't bother trying to get one on one help with him, as he just tells you to figure it out by yourself. Oh, and he hates everyone during Capstone so be aware of pleasing him before any other professor.

Nasty beyond belief. Total fake. Wants you to like him, wont give any favors, completely not willing to even listen to valid excuses. Will screw you on capstone. All tests and finals don't match up with what you were taught. Overall, a complete SOB.
