Pretty bad professor tbh. Very unclear, not only in the way he speaks but in in requirement criteria. He doesn't provide examples of how assignments are to be done and expects some level of quality work. Avoid him and taken another professor, if possible. Don't now why SJSU still keeps teachers like this...

Comment:

Teaches many of the TECH courses. Clear outline given for all assignments, follow it exactly to get the most points. Some test questions from material in textbook. Lots of group assignments, pick a good group. Expect in-class CAD/written assignments too. Not a class I would skip, one missed day can set you back a lot.

I had not had an interest in manufacturing before taking 104. This was a helpful introduction to the subject. The complaints here have some grounds, but were not an issue for me. I like the reviewer with a practically unreadable entry, criticising Obi for grading him down for poor grammer. Come to class prepared, do the work, and you'll be fine

He is very strict on deadlines, which means close to none late work accepted. although he may be unclear it is fairly easy to whip up something to please him. his quizzes are hard, but tests are not bad if you read over the book a bit. he has his favorites in class and picks on the othe

I have to admit that I hated this cl****. It was just useless. Dr. Obi is a very inconsistent grader, I personally saw to identical projects get two different grades just because of the people that were turning them in. His lecture is very boring and the lab is just boring. He actually put me to sleep twice during the semester in lecture.

"Clarity" and "Unclear" That's all this foo ever wrote on papers just to knock off points. Hella busy work in a class that could be so much more. I know where he can stick his "O.R"s. If you see flying garbage bins, or broken shelves, he's the motivation behind it.

He's an ok guy w/ a very heavy accent. He is very moody (nice/mean frequently). Want to pass his class: save all notes(lecture&movie), handout, project - midterms from these -. Half final are duplicate questions of midterm so pay attention. Writing assignments pay attention to grammar. Projects follow his guide lines exactly how he wants it.

Started off as a nice and fun guy and then something happened to him and became rude to everyone in the class. Grades kind of harsh when it comes to your grammar and spelling when the class is called Design, Dev., and Manufacturing. Easy to pass the class, very possible to get a B, maybe even an A.
