Barely taught anything in class. Repeated lectures multiple times. She was all over the place. One midterm worth 35%, all multiple choice. 8 assignments worth 65%, easy marker. Easy to pass, extremely hard to actually go to class...

Very interesting class her mid term exams are extremely difficult, however it makes up for the other assignments as she marks fairly easy. Would highly recommend if your interested in learning about YO and the law.

Her assignments for research design take no more than an hour to do each. her mid term was difficult, however study a lot and you will do fine. it's the only exam you write in the class. I would take her again

I had Sandra for Research Design, she lectures for half of the semester, there is a midterm, then the rest of the semester is assignments, one per week,...which is plenty of time to complete each one. ..there is no final. :) I would take her again !!

Had her for young offenders. Intersting course, but she teaches from a self written text book full of useless stats that muddle the readings and make the book useless unless you are researching for doing a debate etc. She makes multiple choices tests that are impossible and clearly a guessing game. Also adding "blah blah blah" to her lectures.

She is a very intelligent Woman who understands the field she teaches. She has one mid-term and 6-7 Essays. If you wish to learn somthing about research, I advise you to take a class that has a teacher who uses a text book, slides or theory. She is Not the best choice if you want to learn about research methods. Great if you just want a grade.

She doesn't explain anything. I was forced to read textbooks used in other research methods to do her assignments. Lectures are extremely off topic, and hardly ever explains her expectations. She is the only prof at smu who can actually teach stats so its a shame she's not teaching it anymore. I am glad I took it with her!!! She is highly effective!!!
