Was pretty nervous to take her since her reviews on here aren't great, honestly I don't know why they're so low. Even with a long commute and a 7:45am lecture I never missed one. She's receptive toward questions, clear with her explanations, notes are pretty organized for chemistry. Loves biochem. I'd take her again.

Lectures are "pretty" clear, but her exams are so tough. She also seemed confused half the time on what she was explaining. Very harsh grader. You don't explain something in enough "detail" and she HACKS off points. Not a fan.

She is the worst professor I've had at UWL. She is inconsistent with her grading. If you ask her a question, she will deflect it. Exams are kinda easy if you go to the review session. For short answer if you don't write certain words you lose all the points. I would not at this class with her.

Lectures are pretty straight forward, but her exams are really difficult. She hacks off points like no tomorrow. This was definitely one of the hardest courses I've taken...

The subject is definitely hard but Dr. G definitely makes it easier. She tells you exactly what you need to know and is always willing to help with questions. In class problems, quizzes, homework and exams all contribute to grade. Tests are straight forward and exactly what you'd expect.

This was a very hard class. You definitely have to come to lecture and put in your time. But, Dr. Grunwald is a great teacher, explains concepts very well, and is ALWAYS opened for questions. I would deinifetly recommend her...but like I said, the class is a challenge.

Grunwald is useless as a teacher. She will drive you insane with her dull lectures and couldn't answer a question clearly to save her life. You better kiss up and make HER feel good , because she picks her favorites early and they get preferred treatment. Has the personality of sandpaper. Worst teacher I have had in my life.

Honestly the WORST teacher i have had at UWL. Writes impossible tests that half the time you can't figure out what the question is asking. does not return emails. If you have to take her get into her lab section too and get on her good side because she has obvious favorites and treats the rest of the class like garbage

I think Dr. Grunwald is a GREAT professor. She's very good at explaining the material, and she makes her exams more difficult (mostly short essay questions) because she actually wants to you learn concepts! I would definitely recommend her.

Huh? Ehplain to me WHY this person is a professor at a supposedly good college? She knows less than her own students about her own subject. I've seen bad teachers bud shesh she takes the cake!

NOT a good professor. 1. Treated students unfairly. Her personal opinions of students were reflected in the grades they received. 2. She herself did NOT know half of the information that she expected students to know for exams. 3. Was NOT consistent with grading from student to student on assignments and exams.

The worst teacher ever experienced, she knows nothing if its not in front of her face on her notes. Her tests dont convey the important concepts one should learn, she has no "grading scheme" just takes points off when she wants too!! SHE SUCKS!!

She makes you think in a good way! If you pay close attention to detail every one can figure out what questions will be on the exam. The lab is easy if pay attention to detail (she'll review labs if you bring them into her) and lab will boost your grade. Study and make flash cards and you'll do fine! helpful if taken with Cell bio.

She gave essay biochem exams and her favorites got good grades (ask about her kids and you'll be in.) She couldn't explain why she gave you certain grades after the exam, and had problems explaining concepts when you went to her office for help. NOT my favorite by far!!
