I took Sandra for BUS 100 online during the summer. There was a lot of reading, as expected for an online class, and a monitored test every week with a few papers here and there. She graded strongly on grammar and writing for the papers, and the quizzes were very straight forward. Read your chapters comprehensively and you'll be fine.

Comment:

Dr. Kern is a very sweet person who cares deeply about her students and gives lots of examples from her own experience and strongly encourages group discussion. She arranges the chairs in a circle for the entire semester and it seems awkward at first but by the end of the class it really helps you grow.

This was my favorite course this semester. She is a great Human Relations teacher. Dr. Kern is very sweet and has a lot of knowledge and experience to share with everyone!

Comment:

Mrs. Kern is so sweet and friendly. If you are doing very well with your grades and come to class every day on time, she's more willing to give you extra time and help. Her lectures was nice, not boring what so ever. We did a lot of class discussions, she definitely values our opinions.

great professor!!! she uses real life experiences that she has been in to teach and that makes things stick for me. she has you write weekly journals but they are easy and trust me i hate writing with a passion and i feel they are easy. she has over 30 years experience at RACC and she is here for the students not the pay check that's a big plus :)

Awesome teacher! Highly organized. Lots of homework and projects but they really help you prepare for tests and overall business knowledge. I had a family issue to deal with this semester and she worked with me with submitting all of my assignments at different dates than scheduled and didn't penalize me for it. She's great!

A lot of homework. Makes you retype each single question out of text book for homework. Test were pretty easy. If you don't a lot of homework and/or typing this class is not for you. I thought she was rude and was conceded.

Very good instructor. Patient, clear. A bit slow to grade sometimes, but very fair in grading as long as you follow directions. If you actually are making the effort to complete the assignments and actually reading the book, it's an easy A. Make sure you study the book before the exams! The questions all come from the textbook. Simple as that!

Incredibly rude teacher. I've only asked her about three questions, all of which I received incredibly rude non-answers to. I would not recommend taking any classes with her. I have a 4.0 from PSU and took this course to save some time, but wow, I will never take another class at this school again.

Very very easy teacher. She tells u whats on the test. by far the EASIEST accounting teacher i EVER had ( i took my other accounting classes at a university). Do the Homework. Master the Homework for the test and study the text book definitions, and you will get a A - nothing less. Kern is also very willing to give you help anytime u need it.

Business Telecourse. Answered questions when needed. Some other telecourses give a study guide for tests, she doesn't. Its hard to memorize everything in the textbook for tests, but thats the wat it is for all telecourses. No real complaints.
