I had Sang-Soo Kim for statics. The class is challenging, but quite a bit of that is due to the material. Dr. Kim gives lots of examples in class, although some of the homework problems are more difficult than the examples. I would recommend starting the homework early so that you can ask for help. He is willing to help if you ask questions.

To be fair, Dr. Kim does make himself available for help outside of class. However, he isn't very clear during his in-class lessons, and is the most-difficult grader I've ever had to deal with. Unless you're really good at engineering-type classes, I suggest you do everything in your power not to have him as a teacher.

I liked him a lot. Clear directions of any problem. Being helpful in and outside of class. However, the class itself is very challenging and it was 0800 starting class. Enjoy it if you don't just suck it up.

I really liked Sang-Soo. The class was not easy by any means, but I still managed to get an A. He goes through lots of examples, and presents the material well in my opinion. He expects a lot from studentsand doesnt hesitate to share his disappointment. He works with you though, he gave my class an extra test to try to increase our grades.

This guy is a joke. He is way too difficult and hardly gives any partial credit on problems. He is unwilling to help you outside of class. I would never recommend taking him. Stick with Beegle or Hazen.

not only was he not helpfull he always showed up late to class. he even missed 2 weeks out of 10, that just isn't right in a class as hard as Statics.

He takes a personal interest in his students. He is tough, but you will appreciate him so much more when you get that first job. I loved this guy as a prof. He is pretty funny too. If you don't understand what is going on go see him for some face time
