Comment:

I tried Stats before with another teacher and it was a total disaster. But in this class the steady pace with assignments and quizzes every week really helped. I wasn't swamped and I was able to understand the material. As long as you do the work each week, you'll be fine. Just don't leave things till the last minute.

I Would not recommend Dr.Phukan. He is a very uneasy man with too high of standards. He graded my papers as if it were an English class. He did not care about the quality of my work, only the font size and numbering on my papers. I received a 30% on my first paper because the font and line spacing were incorrect.

Very fair. Dr. Phukan has high standards however he is very upfront about them and does an excellent job testing from the material he provides. You are held to a standard that forces you to learn and become more professional. Very fair if he encounters an error as well.

Professor Phukan is a great professor! Sanjeev is a very knowledgable and educated man, beyond book smarts. His courses are demanding and well worth taking. He forces responsiblilty and educates students well beyond the classroom. I would suggest every student should take Sanjeev as a professor at least once! Great professor!

Sanjeev is a great professor. He holds every student accountable for their effort and expects a lot, which does NOT make him difficult or unjust. College is about EARNING your grade, which is exactly what he promotes. I took both Operations Management and Statistics II with him and enjoyed both thoroughly- I miss his classes. Fantastic professor.

While his policies may seem extreme, they are reasonable. He makes his expectations clear from the begining, as long as you are thorough and detailed in your answers you will do well in his classes. This is important when taking online classes because once you click submit there is no chance for rebuttal. Each class is worth the time and effort.

I took both Stats and Operations from him. He is definitely one of the hardest professors in the busness dept and demands a lot from his students. But if you work hard you will learn a lot because he knows his stuff. I found my work got much better in his class. If you want to miss class or an easy class, stay away, because he will cut you no slack

I like the way Dr. Phukan structures the online classes. The syllabus is very clear and easy to follow. I have taken two other classes with Dr. Phukan and they are all very similar in style as far as how the class flows and how grading is done. 60% of the grade is from homework assignments and 40% from exams. Great professor.

Not the best to take an online class with, has so many rules for submitting and formatting assignments its hard to remember but if you dont you will get a 0, he has no middle ground. Not the best for online students who are also working full time and taking 4 classes. Needs to learn to cut a little slack.

Great professor, makes everything easy to understand. Unlike most classes, you actually learn something from Sanjeev. BUT- Don't plan on skipping class or not paying attention, he is very strict about this and demands respect. However, if you respect him and treat him nicely he will return the favor. Very nice guy.

I hate statistics, but the professor set out a course that helped me discipline myself to learn the concepts and pass the class. If this course has been taught by a lazier professor I may not have passed. There was a lot of homework, but I needed it, it's statistics for god's sake.
