Lectures suck, she just reads notes off the screen but pay attention and takes your own notes. A lot of kids took notes right on the computer by commenting on the PDF files but I would still recommend writing stuff down on paper. She does emphasize what will be on the exam during lectures so pay close attention. At least skim the book, it's helpful

Doesnt necessarily teach you what you need to know though she thinks she does. Requires a lot of teaching yourself how to do things then asking her questions though she may still give you the wrong answers. Not a native english speaker.

Thought she was helpful and fair with her tests. I think she gave away more than half of what was going to be on the tests in comments she made in class. Her notes are kind of disorganized, but if you pay attention to everything she says and ask questions, you can do fine. Make sure to practice a lot outside of class. Took 4 of her classes this yr.

Wexler is the worst teacher I've ever come across. Her notes are disorganized, she is consistently late to class, she constantly makes mistakes while teaching, and she blames students for being lazy when half the students drop her class. Wexler is terrible, don't take her unless you already know how to code or she is your last option.

It IS possible to get an A in this class, but you should know some things before going into it: A. Her notes are terrible if taken by themselves. You have to take your own in class. B. She's the worse professor I met. I felt like she does not prepare the unit before she come to class. while she's teaching, then she say that she forget to tell you some information before and that make me feel hard to understand even I pay attention very carefully.

Her accent isn't the biggest thing to worry about. In my experience, she doesn't explain things very well to the class as a whole, but if you work one on one with her, she can explain complex things in great detail, with some confusion. But more often than not, she expects students to understand her scattered and vague notes.

Professor Wexler get's a bad wrap. Yeah - she's got the accent, yes her notes are a little disorganized, but if you truly pay attention, she can explain incredibly complex computer topics very clearly. Plus - if your a CS student, the accents only get worse from here.

Wonderful Professor! goes out of her way to help students. Her tests are logical and fairly easy if you know the material. She doesn't teaches that great but her notes are helpful. Just takes some time getting used to her. Overall, Excellent Professor. One of the finest MCC has. :)

Heavy Accent and constant mistakes in notes and labs made class very confusing. Received full marks on all labs and had perfect attendance but received a C+ in the course. Does not communicate current grades either.

Unprofessional at best. Later to class. NEVER completed an example in class correctly. does NOT understand her own material. Notes are ridden with grammar mistakes and her examples in the hand outs are just plain WRONG! She took a student's final away while handing out the test because he was still putting his notes away. unacceptable .

Professor Wexler is the worst professor I've ever encountered. Her general apathy towards the subjects she teaches is appalling. She is Israeli, and as such all lectures and tests are given in Hebrew, so you should be prepared for that. But seriously, her notes and exams are erroneous. Bill Gates wouldn't even get an A in her class. Good luck.

Well, if you're like me then the reason you're reading this is because you care about the quality of your professors. And you probably also think you're smarter than the average student and a HORRIBLE teacher won't affect you. Do. Not. Take. Wexler. She is undoubtedly the worst professor in the SUNY system. A nice person, but an ineffective teacher. Textbook is never used or referred to, but you will need it in order to understand the material. Notes the professor gives are sometimes incorrect or incomplete. Tests constitute the majority of your grade, but most of the questions are ambigiously worded or ask about obscure, irrelevant material.

Very nice professor! I took her class last year, she is very good, she has a lot of knowledge on the subject and her test papers are good. In order to do well in the course, you will have to attend her class regularly and finish the assignments that she gives. As far as I remember she discussed each and every question that appeared on the test!

Her lectures are very long and VERY boring. The notes she gives as word documents aren't very clear either. I found the textbook, which she never had us use, to make so much more sense.

The class Labs are very large and complicated. The labs are unorganized with her changing project specifications all the time. Almost no lab time to work on projects, and her notes are full of mistakes! Every semester she finds errors in her notes and changes the notes each semester!
