She really knows her stuff and is a great professor! The class is a bit fast paced so make sure you do your best to keep up. The class definitely requires a lot of effort if you want to do well in it.

She's a good professor, but I wouldn't recommend her. She's an extremely harsh grader and will most likely make mistakes during lectures and grading. It's a 100 class and shouldn't be. I put more effort in this class than calc and received a much lower grade. This class is fast-paced so if you can keep up and maintain your grade, you should be fine

Comment:

I was never really a genius at Math and usually passed with a high C or low B. However, Prof Abramowitz made stats relevant. After taking the course I feel like I can apply my knowledge and understanding of stats to the real world. Also her quizzes and exams are straight forward and are covered in recitation the thursday before the exam/quiz.

She genuinely wants you to do well, and really does care about your grade. This class is only difficult if you don't go or don't keep up with the work. She does a fantastic job of separating theory from SPSS.

Some people have trouble with this class and some people don't. I had to work really hard, and I ended up doing well. Professor Abramowitz is great though. She really wants you to do well. I've heard bad things about the other Statistics Teachers, but she was very helpful, and nice.

The class is very hard if you don't get it at first, but it's not her fault. She tries to help students who seek help, but the truth is, sometimes her advice is good, sometimes it isn't. She is nice and does anything to help students not fail, though.

The class is very difficult but if you go to class and pay attention it's manageable. Recitation is a must because it really sets your up for the quiz the day after. Prof. Abramowitz is tough,but is not about letting kids fail. If you try you'll do well, but not showing up or not paying attention is a sure fire way to fail.

Really bad prof! Can't teach clearly. Text book (which she wrote) is totally unclear and she doesn't care. Quizzes are nothing like the hw and the tests are nothing like the quizzes. Not accessible if you have questions. Gets rude if you don't understand something. Recitations are pointless. Blames students for doing bad on exams. Needs to retire.

The class is hard, but Prof. Abramowitz is really helpful. If you try hard, go to class, do the homework and go to recitation--you'll be fine. And if you're not she really respects people who attend everything and just try. She'll be more lenient on you if you do that.

Very good lecture teacher. If you go to class on a daily basis, there is nothing to surprise you on the tests/quizes . Very helpful when it comes to answering questions on an individual level. Highly recommend you take a class with her if you have the option

Prof. Abramowitz is a wonderful person but as a calc teacher she was not so wonderful. I know she is definitely more of a stat professor though and I know she knows her stuff in that area. Her class was pretty easy though and when you don't understand something I know she makes an effort to help.

I strongly disagree with many of the comments about Professor Abramowitz. I thought she was an excellent teacher! I actually like stats because of her! Very clear in giving explanations, and is a no-nonsense person. If you do what she says, you'll be fine. Rock on Abram!

Don't listen to the other comments about this teacher. She is very good at her lectures, and if you go to recitation she answer any and all of your questions. If you do the homework and pay attention in class, u will do fine. And if not, there are tutors that she gives u times 2 go c. Out of all of the stats teachers at Drew.. definately take her!

I took Stats with her this semester and got a B because I hardly did the homework. Recitation is optional and she'll help you out with homework questions during it if you show up. If you do the homework you should get a good grade because the exams are mainly based on the homework. She wants her students to do well and you will if you try hard.

Sarah Abramowitz is one of the worst teachers I have encountered at Drew. Although some may say that she is a great teacher and very helpful I completely disagree with this. She was unclear in all of her teachings, and she just can't teach. Most IMP: whether you succeed or not in her class, SHE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT HER STUDENTS. AVOID CLASS W/ H
