I took Dr. Morrison for 300+ level courses, and most of the time she expected a lot but was very fair. She got you to talk about a lot in class and she was always really encouraging of students who saw parallels in other stuff they see or read. It made class lively.

While professor Morrison may be a great professor for graduate and upper-level English major students, she is not the professor that needs to be teaching a gen-ed. She is way too nit-picky, marks off on every little detail on your paper, and overall makes you feel like you suck at writing. I have never had an issue in an English class before now.

Hardest EnglishLiterature class I've ever taken. Expect pop quizzes that ask nitpicky questions. She doesn't give a rubric or much detail for writing papers. I have never received a bad grade on papers till her class. Her selection of literature is also very raunchy. She destroyed my appreciation for English Literature.

DO NOT RECOMMEND HER!! She is very rude and a smart mouth towards most students. Grades very very tough. No matter how well you think you did from working so hard it doesn't matter to her. She is rude when you ask for help. She makes me feel dumb. Not clear on assignments in anyway. All around terrible.

Prof. was not helpful at all. Took class online, materials were often missing and assignments posted very close to due date. Emailed several times for help and clarification was never given. Grading incredibly nit-picky. Exams seemed to be on material pulled out of nowhere.

Very tough prof. Not very involved in class. Feedback on papers was borderline rude. Nitpicky. Gave me the worst grade I've ever gotten in my life. Will not take again.

Took an online literature course with her, she is a horrible grader and gives grammar tests for a Master's lit. program?? Asked for help, did what was asked and didn't help my grade AT ALL. I've never gotten a grade this low in an English class before. DO NOT TAKE HER.

She's a tough professor but if you do the work and ask for help, you can do well in her class. Argumentative writing is not my strong point but I'm a better writer and more critical thinker after taking her course. You really need to read the assigned reading though.

if you're not a great writer and are taking the class for the literature aspect, even though it is a literature class. DO NOT TAKE HER!, she is all about the papers and the literature aspect is only surrounded by the papers and the dumb library project.

I had Dr. Morrison for an online survey class. To her credit, she runs an online class better than any I've ever had. However, she crosses the line between "stickler for formatting issues" and "picky" on papers, and is completely unapproachable for help in that respect. She'll do if you have to take her, but don't be jumping at that chance.

I really admired Dr. Morrison. She was always very interested in the subject. She was very helpful in directing you toward the right kind of research and offered constructive feedback on rough drafts. Difficult class but improved my research and writing skills.

She also gave up on grading my papers, but then I got an A at the end of the class. She is better than many teachers there because I did actually learn from her, and she did respond back to me even if she was often unnecessarily harsh.

I took Dr. Morrison's Restoration Lit class online. It was my first class in the program. I found her to be tough, but fair (mostly), but got a little frustrated with her quizzes at times. Overall, she is timely in her responses. She expects her students to work hard to earn their grades, which I appreciated, especially at the graduate level.

I never knew if my answers were right. She was late posting answers to quizzes, made it difficult to study. She gave up on me when grading my paper. Basically told me it was a waste of her time. Instead of trying to help me, she gave up on me. It was discouraging. I'm not a professional. If I was, I would already have the degree.

I took this class online and I really enjoyed it. She was very helpful. She always replied back to my emails and even let me turn in an assignment at least a week later due to my computer crashing. She is very understandable. I would recommend taking her online though - I bet her class in person would be more tough.

It's just before finals and I'm teetering on the edge of a A, but I'd recommend not taking her, unless you are an English major, exceptional writer, or really want to improve your English skills. *Also!!* Do the assigned readings. Seriously.

The class is not easy. You definitely have to work for what you get. Write papers on topics that she likes or else she will fail you. I managed a B in the class, but it took a lot of work.

Took several classes with this professor throughout my undergrad career. If you do the work, the reading, and your proper paper formatting (you HAVE to learn MLA to publish academically, so don't whine when she counts off when you do it wrong -- you should have learned it in high school), then you will pass. If you're lazy, don't bother.

Sarah Morrison taught me so much!! I don't see why everyone is slamming her. I received an A in the class and I worked my butt off to get it.
